For our next release on Qaitek we’ve called on some of the artists that influenced us at the turn of the millennium with boundary pushing tracks who today are still creating seriously amazing music . 
 
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 15-20 years you will have heard the name Jamez who gained notoriety as one half of Trancesetters . Throughout the late nineties and early noughties their tracks became essential must haves in any self respecting Dj’s bag . Played by the masses and danced to by millions, their legacy remains enshrined in dance music history with releases like ‘The Search’ and ‘Roaches’ becoming instant classics who’s sound has stood the test of time and remains to this day fresh and forward thinking. Now in 2011 after a wee absence from the scene, Jamez is back and hooks up with Soulboy for ‘Surface Tension’ – a floor shaking groover with awesome moody stabs and melodies to ripen a pure dance-floor driven mood. 
 
On remix duties we’ve enlisted Qaitek favourite – Ben Shaw, who’s Kubist recordings imprint broke boundaries on the progressive scene in 2002/03 . While short lived Ben’s label played an integral part of changing people’s perceptions of what direction progressive house was heading, giving us an insight into a minimal, tech driven sound we’ve all become accustomed to today. Ben takes the original parts of Surface tension and shapes a smoothe techy remix that’s crisp and current . 
 
For the second remix its the turn of Naveen G . In 2003 his Keeper of 5 release on Jonathan Lisle’s M-Theory records was ahead of it’s time and he continues to produce a sound that's both diverse and underground. With Surface tension he creates a tasty rhythm driven groove while giving a nod to the originals moody stab work . 
 
This is the first of a two part release the second of which lands later in 2011 .
