Over the years, we’ve heard Qanon believers loudly protest the alleged misappropriation of human remains – whether they’re being used to supply “adrenochrome farms” or consumed during satanic cabal dinner parties. As is often the case, the reality is far more disturbing than the conspiracy theory. This week, Allie Mezei joins us to bring us horrific tales from the real ‘tissue trade’, a feud between the bodies of the living and the dead that stretches all the way back to the eighteenth century. Unfortunately, the corpse trade is very much alive, even today, and continues to be a depressing reminder of the ruling class’s war against the poor.

Episode 267: Black Magic Panic & the Mau Mau Rebellion

Each communication was tailored to their specific field and contained advanced technical details and theories. At the same time, multiple witnesses reported a number of compelling UFO sightings, leaving behind physical evidence bearing the Ummite symbol. 
This contact was to become a decades-long affair that convinced multiple esteemed scientists, subverted Franco regime censorship, and left 1300 pages of alien writings to be poured over and debated for a generation. It also left destruction and misery in its wake, with at least two dangerous cults inspired by the lore. One may still be active to this day.

Episode 360: Helmsmen Of Brixton

In the 1940s and 50s there was the great American comic book scare. Many serious adults warned that comic books were turning young people into illiterate, criminally violent, sexually deviant political extremists.

There were several editorials in newspapers that argued as much. There were groups who organized literal comic book burnings. Local jurisdictions passed laws to limit the sale of comic books. There was even a televised congressional hearing on comic books by the United States Senate Subcommittee on Juvenile Delinquency.

This was a widespread phenomena that can’t be laid at the feet of any one person. But there is one person who did more than anyone to legitimize this panic: Dr. Fredric Wertham. He was a well-credentialed German-American psychiatrist best known for his anti-comics book Seduction of the Innocent: The Influence of Comic Books on Today’s Youth.

The scientific worthlessness of Wertham’s theories has been clear to historians of comic books and even some of his contemporaries. However, it wasn’t until 2012, three decades after his death, that the full extent of the worthlessness of his anti-comic book work was revealed.  After a historian was able to read his raw clinical notes for the first time, it was discovered that many claims in his book Seduction of the Innocent were wholly fabricated. His anti-comic book claims weren’t merely the product of sloppy science, but lies and distortions.

On March 6th, 2024, the Pentagon published a sixty-three-page report on the AARO’s findings in regard to whether our own government is in possession of extraterrestrial technology.  The report stretches all the way back to the 1940’s, and provides a comprehensive look into the ever transforming secret programs created to determine whether or not the truth IS, in fact, actually out there. Episode 271: An AARO To The Knee

Though the “chemtrails” conspiracy theory has long been dismissed by scientists, aviation experts, and other skeptics, the Tennessee legislature has taken it very seriously. On April 11th, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed into law SB2691, which bans the ‘intentional injection, release, or dispersion’ of chemicals within Tennessee ‘with the express purpose of affecting temperature, weather, or the intensity of the sunlight.” Though the law doesn’t explicitly use the word chemtrails, it was inspired by chemtrail conspiracy theorists. 

On this episode we talk to independent journalist Teddy Wilson of Radical Reports about the anti-chemtrails bills in Tennessee and other state legislatures.
