Qari Javed Akhtar is the Founder and Chairman of International Naat Association. He also holds the responsibility of Imam at Manchester Central Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre (also known as “Victoria Park Mosque”). He is leading Taraweeh during the month of Ramadan in this Mosque for last 27 years. He is well known for his beautiful recitation of Al'Quran and has a melodious voice and unique style 
to praise Prophet Muhammad (Sall'allaho Alaehe Wa'Sallam) by reading Naat (Nasheed). In today's globalised arena, he has millions of fans across the world who simply adore him due to his efforts for introducing and promoting Naat culture in UK and has expanded to Europe and Africa. This website will cover many aspects of Qari Javed Akhtar's life and his fans would know about his personal life, struggles he has faced and accomplishments which he achieved in last 30 odd years being servant of Islam. Qari Javed Akhtar was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan . He finished his schooling and Matriculation from Muslim High School, Rawalpindi followed by entering into Maddrassah life at Faiz ul Quran Daurl'uloom in Rawalpindi where he finished his Tajweed from the likes of Qari Bazurg Shah Al'Azhari, Hafiz Abdul Rasheed and Qari Muhammad Ibrahim. He got admission in globally famous Jamia Rizvia Zia-ul-Uloom who was being under the supervision of Syed Ghulam Mohayudin Shah Rahmatullah. Qari Javed Akhtar has had the honour to be a student of Syed Haseen-ud-din Shah who has given some renowned Islamic scholars to this world, currently serving in different parts of the globe. In 1973-74, Qari Javed Akhtar lead Tarawih for the very first time and due to his exceptional level of memorising Al'Quran being collaborated with a supernatural quality of having a melodious voice, he was being privileged to read All Pakistan Markazi Shabeena for four consecutive years from 1982-1986 at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi which was being live telecasted on PTV each year. In 1984, Qari Javed Akhtar was being selected to represent Pakistan in an International Hifz and Qirat competition in Saudia Arabia. During this trip, he had the honour to enter into the Haram of Al'Kaabah (House of ALLAH in Makkah) and also visited the factory where Kiswah (Black cloth that covers Kaaba) gets manufactured.
