"Qad Kafani `Ilmu Rabbi" (My Lord's Knowledge Suffices Me) is a powerful statement of reliance and trust on Allah, authored by Imam Abdullah b. Alawi al-Haddad (1634 CE [1044 Hijri] - 1720 CE [1132 Hijri]), the great Islamic scholar and spiritual guide from Hadhramawt, Yemen. Imam al-Haddad was a distinguished poet, and this particular qasida (devotional song) is one of his most-recited poems. A brief bio of the Imam may be found here:http://www.alhaddad.org/blog/?p=382. My Lord’s knowledge has sufficed me 
 from asking or choosing 
For my du’a and my agonising supplication 
 is a witness to my poverty. 
For this secret (reason) I make supplication  
in times of ease and times of difficulty 
I am a slave whose pride  
is in his poverty and obligation

O my Lord and my King 
 You know my state 
And what has settled in my heart  
of agonies and preoccupations 
Save me with a gentleness  
from You, O Lord of Lords 
Oh save me, Most Generous  
before I run out of patience (with myself)

O One who is swift in sending aid 
 I ask for aid that will arrive to me swiftly 
It will defeat all difficulty  
and it will bring all that I hope for 
O Near One Who answers  
and All-Knowing and All-Hearing 
I have attained realisation through my incapacity,  
my submission and my brokenness

I am still standing by the door, so please my Lord 
 have mercy on my standing 
And in the valley of generosity, I am in i’tikaf (solitary retreat)   
So, Allah, make my retreat here permanent 
And I’m abiding by good opinion (of You) 
 For it is my friend and ally 
And it is the one that sits by me and keeps me company  
All day and night

so please fulfill it, O Best of Fulfillers 
And comfort my secret and my heart

"The Emissary Comes" [Jashné Amadé Rasül] is a Naat that is almost never missed out on in Mawlid gatherings during Rabi' Al Awwal - the month of the birth of the Prophet, peace be upon him.

LYRICS (Urdu):
Jashne Amade Rasul, Allah hi Allah
Bibi Amina ke phul, Allah hi Allah

Haqq La ilaha ill Allah, La ilaha ill Allah
Haqq La ilaha ill Allah, La ilaha ill Allah

Jab kay sarkar tashrif laane lagay
Hur-o-ghilman bhi khushiyan mananay lagay
Amina dekh kar muskuranay lagin
Havva maryam bhi khushiyan manaanay lagin
Amina bibi sab say yeh kehnay lagin
dua ho gai Qabul

Chehra e Mustafa jab dikhaya gaya
Chhup gae taaray aur chand sharma gaya
Har taraf nur ki raushni chha gai
Mustafa kya milay, zindagi mil gai
Ae Halima teri gode mein aa gae

Shadiyaanay khushi kay bajaae gae

TRANSLATION:
Celebrate the arrival of the Emissary
The delicate flower of Lady Aminah

Truth: There's no deity besides The One God
There's no deity besides The One God

As our master was about to arrive
The maidens and attendants of paradise started to cheer
Amina, upon seeing him, began to smile
Even Eve and Mary joined in the celebration
Lady Amina announced to all:
"A prayer has been answered."

When the face of Mustafa was finally unveiled 
The stars hid themselves, and the moon shied away
Rays of light spread in all directions, overpowering everything
Through having Mustafa, our lives became worthwhile 
O Halima, in your lap has arrived
An Emissary to both worlds

Tunes of joy were played everywhere
Songs of happiness were sung for all to hear
In all directions echoed the call of "Sallay 'Alaa" 
For today was born the Beloved of God
And Jibril himself then proclaimed to the universe:
"This is the Emissary of God"

The debut album from Ahbab Al-Habib is finally here!

Ahbab Al-Habib (Lovers of the Beloved) is a Nasheed group based in California that is dedicated to spreading the love of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through the art and tradition of classical Inshād (spiritual odes). 

We live in an age where love is sparse, and because of this, we strive to saturate society with the love of the most perfect human to ever live— Our Muhammad ﷺ.

Ahbab al-Habib dedicated themselves to years of intensive study of this art with some of the greatest Munshideen (masters of spiritual odes) of the modern era from Syria and Jordan. Their teachers include Shaykh Samer Nashar, Shaykh Muhammad Adel, Shaykh Jihad Al-Kalouti, Shaykh Abdullah Adel, Shaykh Abdulrahman Sha’ar, Shaykh Salah Al-Kurdy, and Ustadth Omar Helal.

The name “Muhammad” literally translates into English as “The Praised One”. Allah Almighty in His Holy Book the Quran says, “Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace” (Quran 33:56). This commandment from our Lord is our motivation for creating this group.
