Sometimes, a song comes to you when you're preparing lunches for your kids. I wrote this on the kitchen counter while cutting some old cheddar as the words and melody just sorta popped into my head. This was the first time I played it, working out the first verse to see if it was a keeper. I freestyled the chorus part, which I kinda liked and kept, and after reviewing this voice note, immediately wrote verse two. After lunch, I set the kids up with an activity and then recorded it 'proper' (haha) at the kitchen table. I then sent it to Tommy, who took a day before he replied that he had nothing further to add. Then I posted. Thanks for listening. :)

Happiness, Finally

So...this was the original song we had for what became 'Lonely Caterpillar' with AudioSubtitles. I never really loved the flow of the lyrics nor the delivery of the vocals yet I never made any further effort to improve them. It was around then that I became enthralled with Audio's page and got the nerve to ask her to do a track with us. I kinda dug this instrumental so I deleted my vocals entirely from it and flipped it her way. She quickly sent me back her incredible 'Lonely Caterpillar' vocal idea which contained holes for us to slip in our original refrain which somehow fit incredibly well. The title 'Lemon Z' was simply the project name. We named our projects after the strains that inspired them at the time. Then that became confusing...haha. Thanks for listening. Hope you enjoy.
