Sun-Doe is the new project from myself and South African jazz musician Yonela Mnana.

This is a demo of one of the works from the forthcoming full length album.

After a year and a half of working regularly, in the studio, and on stage, producing together, recording, remixing, gigging all year, at the end of it all we made this record.

Sun-Doe, is  an African woman spirit, a Hermes-like messenger, who operates in the virtual realm in order to deliver her messages from across realms, encouraging us to invent the future. We just play the music. Sun-Doe raises different themes on different days. On this recording Sun-Doe tells us FREE PALESTINE. Stop the killing. Stop the war.

Blah blah yada yada. I make music. I spend my stolen hours playing jazz on an Ableton Push. I teach music and production. I've DJ'd a lot!!!! Produced a fair few records.  I like Dilla, Coltrane, Stevie, and a lot of house, broken and electronic music that reflects that space. As I'm getting older and in this time of intense violence I'm moving towards more spacious meditative sounds, jams like Astral Travelling, or Journey Into Satchidananda. I like philosophy and scifi and sunshine and women and poetry. Native of North London,, spent the last 18 months holding it down in DK (Soweto), standing out like a sore white thumb. Now back in cold grey blighty for a minute. It's been a blessed half a life so far.
