The finest Italo-disco record ever made.

"Take a Chance" is an untouchable example of Italo-disco's sweet-spot—the qualities it possessed over it's American forefather. "Take a Chance" is club-ready, and not in the ostentatious sense that the best of Studio 54's floorfillers were. It is lithe and acidic, bearing as much of a relation to the squelching galactic visions of early techno that would soon be built in Detroit as it does the disco that came first. In its own perhaps primitive way, it bangs, and throbs, it demands to be moved to. In terms of easing the track into a DJ set, "Take a Chance" is structurally perfect, sitting around 120 BPM, ready to be weaponized by everyone across place and time from the hands of Nicky Siano all the way through to Teki Latex.

For whatever reason, in the case of this one track, shooting for the past meant reaching that place dance music so rarely does. The alchemy of something bizarre, ballistic and eternal. Even now, Mr Flagio sounds like the future.

Bio:

Christian ist am 11.11.1979 in Augsburg geboren und kam das erste mal in den frühen 90 er Jahren mit Housemusic in Kontakt.
Es war liebe auf den ersten Blick bzw. auf das erste Hören.
Ihm war schnell klar, dass er ebenfalls Musik mixen wollte. 

Da er stark von den Disco Sounds der 70 er sowie Funk und Oldschool Musik beeinflusst wurde ist es kaum verwunderlich, dass sein Fokus auf  Disco, Filter und French House liegt. 
Ende der Neunziger startete er bereits mit dem Musik mixen - wie warscheinlich soviele Anfangs noch mit zwei Plattenspielern und Mischpult.

Nach ein paar Jahren intensiven Übens und nachdem er einige Demo Tapes von sich verteilte war er von 2001 - 2005  regelmäßig auf Privatpartys und in einigen Clubs seiner Heimatstadt unterwegs um die frohe House Botschaft zu verbreiten.

Das Mixen und die Liebe zur Housemusik waren nach wie vor vorhanden, doch leider sind  Disco,Filter und French House in seiner Heimatstadt ausgestorben.
In anderen Städten und auch weltweit gibt es jedoch eine riesengroße Housebewegung, was ihn wiederum motivierte neue Mixe zu veröffentlichen und seit 2012 produziert er seine ersten Tracks.
House ist seine absolute Leidenschaft und sein Herz schlägt ganz klar im 4/4 Takt.

Christian was born on 11.11. 1979 in Augsburg in germany and first came in the early 90 ies with house music in contact.
It was love at first sight, or better at the first hearing.
He was soon sure that he also wanted to mix music.

Because he was strongly influenced by old school, funk music and the disco sounds of the 70´s it is hardly surprising that his focus is on disco, french and filter house.
The late nineties he started already mixing music - probably as many as the beginners still with two turntables and a mixer.

After a few years of intensive practicing and after distributing some demo tapes of himself, he was from 2000 - 2005  regularly at private parties and resident dj at some clubs in his hometown on the way to bring  the good house message to the people.


He is 100 percent addicted to housemusic and his heart is clearly in 4/4 time.
