“QeKey” is a dynamic singer, songwriter, entertainer and actress. Her talents were recognized at the age of two when she began singing in the youth choir at her church. While being raised in South Jersey in a church going family, her music has a strong spiritual presence with a message of meaning in cultural empowerment. Her talents were enhanced due to a very gifted musical family who exposed her to different genres of music such as Gospel, Reggae, Soul Rhythm and Blues, Funk, and Rock. Qekeys’ songwriting is influenced by legendary artist such as Chaka Khan, Bob Marley, Patti LaBelle, James Brown, Prince, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Sarah Vaughn, India Arie, Gap Band, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Cindi Lauper, Stephanie Mills, Dinah Washington and Stevie Wonder.

As an artist of many talents; Qekey has performed in various plays in New Jersey, joined two bands as a vocalist to showcase her full energetic performances in different venues in the Metropolitan area. Qekey decided to pursue her music fulltime because the desire was in her heart as an artist. She is a very independent woman with many paths to follow. Besides following her dreams as a singer/songwriter; Qekey has also earned a Master’s degree in Communications. 

Qekey has a pure determination to be heard by as many listeners as possible to make her dream come true as an entertainer. QeKey has been featured on independent artist compilations and is currently working on her own musical project. In the meantime, you can find QeKey performing with various Indie bands across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland.
