Minimood boss Voltmar invites Blazej Malinowski to the vinyl-only label’s offshoot Minimood Extra as both artists remix Advanced Dreams’ ‘Blurred Trip’ this March.

Since Minimood’s inception in 2007, the Cologne-based outfit has continued to explore the deeper, dubbier realms of techno, house and minimal, playing host to the likes of CV313, David Hausdorf, Steve O’Sullivan, Luke Hess, Sascha Dive, Delano Smith and many more. Now, Voltmar returns to the label’s subseries Minimood Extra together with his good friend Polish DJ/producer Blazej Malinowski to serve up two individual atmospheric, dub-techno reworks of Russian underground duo Advanced Dreams’ ‘Blurred Trip’ pressed on transparent wax.

Inner Tension chief Blazej Malinowski’s interpretation of the aptly titled ‘Blurred Trip’ creates a complex sonic soundscape as evocative keys, subtle percussion, reverberating basslines and ethereal samples work in harmony. On the flip, Voltmar offers up a chuggy, stripped back reshape as ghostly echoes, tight snares, and a punchy bassline carry this profoundly emotive cut.

Lyon-based producer Sindh takes listeners on a ravishing sonic voyage with his track 'Qalat,' featured in the upcoming 'Mers' compilation from the French record label and community RDG Tribe. This mesmerizing composition showcases Sidnh's masterful ability to craft a hypnotic half-step journey that effortlessly immerses the listener into a realm of pulsating rhythms and enigmatic atmospheres.

At the core of 'Qalat' lies a low-slung kick drum, providing a solid foundation for the track's momentum. Accompanying this foundation is a meticulously crafted percussive sequence that drives the rhythm forward with its intricate patterns and rhythmic complexity. Sindh skillfully weaves layers of percussive elements, creating a rich and textured sonic tapestry that is as captivating as infectious.

A high-pitched synth sequence gracefully floating in the background adds an air of mystery and intrigue to the composition. On its fifth Various Artists EP, On Board Music welcomes the prolific, techno-meets-drum & bass artist ASC for a weighty, stepping collaboration with Semblance. Nuversion contributes a groovy dub-influenced cut that will slide easily into both techno and house sets. On the B-side, the inimitable Polygonia displays her delicate, melodic touch with the sublime "Veluo," before Morphing Territories closes out the record with a pitch-black modular techno roller. All together, Point E is a well-rounded record which does justice to the range and quality of sounds that On Board has been pushing since 2015.

Dycide's Biography

Dycide is a producer / DJ, professional sound designer and visual artist from Munich / Germany. He is playing piano since his early childhood and started producing ambient music as a teenager. He established the Dycide pseudonym in 2014 to release mainly minimalistic deep drum and bass. Slowly he started changing more and more to techno oriented music. Meanwhile he and his close friends founded IO, an audiovisual label, focusing on experimental ambient and deep techno and visual arts. Besides these projects he is working as an interactive sound designer at Impulse Audio Lab, a sound design and software company based in Munich/Germany.
