Born in Colombia, the delicate intricacies of Launaea’s creative outputs within the realms of deep sounds are renowned for their breathtaking enchantment, always distinguished for being a constant growth of lush atmospheres blended with percussive and tribal rhythms, taking the nature as a source of inspiration and converging subtly and pleasant textures layered with a variety of soundscapes that evoke states of tension and calm at the same time.

As founder of ‘From a Lost Place’ label, Launaea has been doing different publications in his own imprint, also a collaborative project with Laura BCR released on the iconic Robert Johnson Label, and upcoming releases on Semantica Records and Polish imprint Dans Le Desert, among others.

Hiii was back on NTS radio presenting the amazing Munich trio @lyderlyderlyder for a grounding session to dive into the depth of 𝓢𝓬𝓸𝓻𝓹𝓲𝓸 𝓼𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓸𝓷.
🎷 Lyder, is a music project blending jazz instrumental practices and electronic music, by Lindsey Wang (aka Polygonia), Niklas Bühler (aka FTP Doctor), and Moritz Stahl (aka odizouu). Their fusion of jazz and electronic genres through improvisation and sound effects crafts an eclectic sonic journey from emotive soundscapes to vibrant rhythms.  
✨ November's 𝓢𝓬𝓸𝓻𝓹𝓲𝓸 𝓼𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓸𝓷 will bring pivotal celestial movements, offering both challenges and opportunities for growth.

ABSIS -now (@absismusic) and MouseDown -before, also known as Salva Coromina, has been a regular DJ in the Barcelona scene since the late 90’s under a different alias: mouseDown/mouseUp. He was a resident DJ at The Loft and a regular at Sónar, both in Barcelona, for many years. ABSIS has always been exploring the deepest side of electronic music which varies between ambient and techno. Next to DJ’ing he is also a producer and you are able to find some of his productions on Hivern Discs, Oslated and many more.

We're very delighted to feature the very talented artist YYARD with this 14th episode of our Herbarium mix series. He had his first appearance on QEONE with his beautiful track 'Immanence' on the Open call compilation 'LANDSCAPES . JUNGLE . shimmer'. He is a vinyl DJ at heart and on top a highly skilled jazz pianist. In his Herbarium episode he shares some serious grooves which are breakbeat and also house influenced.

He chose the Olive tree as a reference plant for his musical journey - here is why:
Olive trees are pretty remarkable. They can become incredibly old and grow very slowly. The oldest known olive tree is located on Crete and is estimated to be around 3500 years old. They don’t need much water and their wood is resistant and robust. To me, the olive tree symbolizes wisdom, strength, patience and slowness. At the same time, they endow us with olives and olive oil, without which I honestly can't imagine life.
In this vinyl mix, I have tried to express my sympathy for this beautiful plant and represent its character.

E L A captures ambient soundscapes and subtle rhythms full of surprising changes. The psychedelic nuances of her selection constantly create innovative atmospheres. Her hypnotic sounds, alluring rhythms and timely transitions define her.

Early on the day but on the edge of heat-stroke with all of you, covering with cardboards and whatever we found the machines, also on the edge of exploding, on a day that would expand and evolve followed by a crazy line-up into that magic forest. 
It was for us a perfect way to get together again after so many years and try to synchronize a totally unrehearsed sonic adventure in which you might even learn some stuff about whales or whatever those voices say. Hope you enjoy this middle hour of the live set.

At the root of Nick Lapien and Robin Koek’s Artefakt project is a shared love for melancholic, hypnotic voodoo music. Their sound is pensive with deep, rich textures; long track lengths—often six-minutes-plus—give the duo an expansive framework in which to make small changes of texture and tone, creating cerebral, balanced atmospheres that absorb and engage. 

“Sometimes we just take a short element, like the sound of a falling drop of water, and from this recording we extract the rhythm and use it as a starting point,” they say. “It’s a very organic way of creating new material.”
