'Polyptych are delighted to welcome again American electronic project Darenosa.

Darenosa is the electronic music project of David Lopez de Arenosa, from Los Angeles, CA. What started out as a bedroom music experiment with a guitar and a looper, has evolved over time into a dark and infectious dance music project with a live band that has shaken up dance floors from San Diego to LA, and even Burning Man and beyond. 
After the successful release of EP 'Permission to Speak' on Polyptych last year, Darenosa returns to us with a new single 'In My Control'. The track's immersive atmosphere and mesmerizing harmonies are intertwined with the unforgettable vocals of the lead singer of the project David Lopez de Arenosa, and reinforced with the crunch of analog synthesizers and a live drum part. 

The release is supported by a remix from the artist of such famous labels as Spinnin, Glasgow Underground, and others - Dennis De Laat. Have a nice journey.'

'A legendary name, Filip Kaczmarek has continued to innovate and capture the imagination of the underground dance music fraternity with his Kobana production soubriquet. Evergreen and ever-impressive, his work for Proton Music over a decade and half-century of production credits saw a career highlight in 2014's full-length album, "The Riddle". 2015's "Freefall" and 2016's "Boyhood" EPs continued the flow of original music as the Polish artist now returns with his "Light Flooding" EP. The title track showcases a glorious array of hypnotic textures and sound design wrapped around a hefty beat and staccato bassline. Building through a rising progression of pads and white noise effects, the second half erupts into a pulsating wave of sounds that reintroduces melodic elements and subtly cadenced guitar samples to create a driving finale. The partner track sees the smoother deep house vibe of "Focus" evolve through grooved bass pattern, ticking hats and deep kick. Simultaneously, an LFO'd synth rips through the mid-range in smooth synchrony as rich pads add depth. Hitting its stride in the second half a repetitive vocal cut once again features heavily in the dynamic denouement as the track roll forward apace.'

Making a welcome return to ICONYC Noir are Iranian duo High on Mars, this time around in collaboration with ATA.MOTA, to bring us their latest smash 'Retrorocket'. High on Mars who need no further introduction return for their second outing on the label this year. For 'Retrorocket' they teamed up fellow Iranian producer ATA.MOTA to bring it together for an extraordinary release that shows a startling amount of potential.

To start us off High on Mars & ATA.MOTA drop their original of 'Retrorocket'. A track full of rhythmic notions and expansive synth stabs that create a driving rhythm before the atmospheric pads create a beautiful setting, which fires with all guns blazing to produce a club monster that growls. Combining the best of both worlds, the trio has come up with something unique and distinctive to make this release extra special while applying an extra dose of groove and warmth to this incredible tune. 'Retrorocket' stands for a fool proof and state-of-the-art piece of music, which will readily make you, take note and amaze in equal measures.

On remix duty we welcome Hungarian Andrewboy to the label for his debut. Andrewboy who knows a thing or two when it comes to mind blowing productions, turns his remix into an irresistible track using the original elements with perfection. He layers more melodies and effects, whilst upping the flow with cleverly programmed percussion as he uses his trademark FX elements to create a well-rounded sound sphere, without destroying the essence of the original. His rework deserves to be branded 'essential' in any sense of the word.

High on Mars & ATA.MOTA's 'Retrorocket' is an accomplished piece of work that highlights, that they are true masters of their craft. Massive stuff that is not to be missed!
