While some people are thoroughly put off by any gestures in memorializing the atrocities of mass murderers, their impact on our consciousness and psyche's cannot be denied. As a 7 year old child who had just moved from NJ to LA , in some ways Richard Ramirez became a "cultural ambassador" with regards to setting the tone for how I might reminisce on my experiences in California. 

Seeing everyone in communities around me on the news terrorized by the Nightstalker's activities was as much fascinating as it was scary. It was sort of a "Toto, we aren't in Kansas anymore" kind of transition. Not that these atrocities aren't committed or weren't committed at that time in the state of New Jersey ( a teenage boy,right before we moved, had chopped off the arms of his high school girlfriend and threw her in a pond right down the street from my house), the concept of unrelenting terror or rape had never entered my mind up to that point.

Please check out my track "Nightstalkers Lullaby" on our new weirdcraft comp where I attempted depict the mentality of my 7 year old self trying to comprehend ramifications of a satanic lunatic crawling into peoples windows and ravaging them in their quiet sleep (bare in mind this was the pinnacle time in which I had been experiencing undiagnosed / unexplainable sleep paralysis only , in case you were wondering why the dream state like melodies).
