Akbal Music, a label that started in the Riviera Maya launched in 2006 in Mexico and by now travelled around the globe and connected with amazing artists and musicians is celebraring this year it´s 15 years milestone and we are hyper happy for this achievement releasing a massive compilation divided in 3 parts perfect to keep the momentum of this historic celebration.

The third episode of our 15 years celebration comes with tracks by Zone+ , El Mundo & Flowers on Monday, Namito collaborating with Brams Sedrati and finally our own Mexican artistis Balcazar with Ismaehl and Replicanth .

Expect to be a full journey on sound with multiple layers and various soundsacpes.

For our 24th release, we are thrilled to propound the artistry of two Iranian talents, Hamoon and Nina Shamar, who join inspiration and skills to sign a masterfully crafted EP, also featuring on virtuoso remix duties UK-based Venezuelan wizard Joone and Argentinian astounding soundshaper Agustin Giri.

First up and naming the record, “Before the End” combines a deft and sensitive array of lofty resonating drum patterns with an awesome enthralling melodic main theme. Punctuated by suggestive spiraling synth lines and magnified by two spellbinding crescendo rising breaks, the tune manages the perfect and subtle balance between a solid beat-triggering manifesto and a dreamy cinematic state of mind.

Joone’s remix expands on the themes and sonic palette of the original piece through a sturdy and full reinterpretation scheme encompassing much of what his sophisticated signature is about, while staying true to its primary emotional aura. Built on a deeper flaming tempo and intense organic bassline enhanced by flamboyant razoring and ascensional synth waves, it further unveils the haunting immersive melodic original core and emphasises its suggestive majesty with a bewitching breakdown section that has a fierce mystical appeal.

On a darker pounding note, “Burned Wire” by Hamoon and Nina Shamar, whose spectral overture already says it all, harnesses a pin-sharp techno approach, also inspired by synth wave or industrial spirited flavors. Irradiated by subliminal flashes of lightness, the tune further awakens our inner self before leading us to the boiling force of a staunch hypnotic groovy bassline merged with magnetic swirling synth effects that produce a both cavernous and electrifying climax.

Finishing off the voyage in a brilliant refashioning manner, Agustin Giri revisits “Burned Wire” to transmit his own singular musical vision without losing the essence of the original statement. A fluid and compelling combination of slick rhythmic and percussive drum layers, undulating melodic synth arrangements, and a dissemination throughout the whole soundscape of the evocative spoken words to increase the timeless impact of their “Wake up” spell.

Four weapons of masterly massive attraction, defying with a captivating elegance the standard etiquette of electronic dance musicality, speaking to the mind of knowledgeable music lovers and tasteful nightbirds.

"Tash's Movement Recordings begins the new year by welcoming Can Durmus to the label for his debut EP. The Turkish artist has been rising through the electronic underground with releases on Click Records and Symmetric Records. His unique blend of progressive house and melodic techno has earned praise from some of the world's foremost DJs, while also landing high chart positions on Beatport. Now getting 2020 off to a great start he debuts on Movement Recordings with the three track ‘Gravity' EP.

Beginning with the title track Can crafts a dark, sinister creation that's nicely geared for peak-time play. Punchy beats and rolling bass unite for a powerful low end, while piercing stabs and fiery percussion add mightily to its electric nature. Spacey and dramatic, astral arps take the narrative into a tense break, melting down to emotive chord changes and a bright tonal motif, before a lengthy build cues a powerful drop.

‘Algorithm' follows suit with an equally energetic approach. Robust rhythms carry the rolling groove while exotic effects and wispy atmospheres sweep across the stereo field. Once again drama and tension continue to rise, as a well-crafted break and clustered drum rolls reset the groove for a cosmic finale.

The peak time sensibility continues with the third and final selection ‘Unknown Machines'.It's bulbous kick and charged underbelly provide a perfect balance of bounce and drive. Sinister stabs and ethereal vocals layer the subterranean groove, as the framework strips down into the main break. Spanning nearly two minutes in length, the centrepiece builds drama through acid-like clusters and a massive drum roll, eventually reaching a fiery crescendo to round out the EP on a strong note. It makes for a superb Movement Recordings debut for Can Durmus, who has certainly gotten the new year off to a great start."

AIKON returns to Exploited with an EP of dark moods and sensual melody.

The title track is a dark slice of Italo disco / electro, with taut snares cutting through the droning bass and hypnotic synth arpeggiation. Building imperceptibly through subtle atmospheric touches, the track reaches a spine-tingling peak in the spacious breakdown, where synths soar and the acidic bass gets a moment in the spotlight. A voice breathes the word ‘acid’ as the beat kicks back into life, completing the tripped out feel of this moody chugger.

‘Galaxy’ is driven along by a hefty bassline throb, soon bolstered by monotone acid tones and infectious cowbell rhythm. Blasts of synths tease as we head towards the heavenly breakdown, where beautiful sampled guitar melody rubs up against floaty, ambient pad sounds. The contrast between the guitar and the moody bass sounds when the beat drops back in is magical, channeling some of that ‘90s dreamhouse energy as gated, shimmering chords add another sumptuous motif.

‘Heroes’ is a little more on the melodic techno tip but keeps the textures and themes of the EP running through it. Moving at a languid tempo, the track focuses around a simple, blissed-out, ecstasy-imbued hook and a chugging bass rhythm. The switch from a 4/4 thump to a breakbeat rhythm halfway through shifts the mood brilliantly, and throughout subtle changes eke out more beauty from this heads-down affair.
