Once again, September 30th has come, and the entire world celebrates the Epic Origination of the Creator of Vibes Digital!!!!! Otherwise known as my good friend Josh's Birthday! :D So I decided to revamp the Happy Birthday Dubstep for the occasion! Enjoy!

Anybody remember the Midi Sequence songs from Windows 95/98? Ever since I heard them for the first time I wanted to learn how to create one. Finally figured out how to make them years after they had already became obsolete.

I started a few other ones years ago but more recently I came up with an idea to try to create a really complex one. I was amazed at the people who create "black midis" with hundreds of notes all playing at once. While I may not be able to come up with anything quite that epic, I decided that I could at least make a grey one instead ha ha!

Still in the beginning stage, but hopefully I can get it finished soon!

What's the perfect recipe for a Digitalvibe-approved birthday song?? Well it first a foremost can NOT be a Country song! LOL Not sure if this measures up but I did my best on this one. At the beginning it's a bit of a jazzy synth groove. For most of the instrumentation on this part I actually used this old Yamaha FB-01 FM synthesizer that Josh himself actually gave me a few years back. This is actually the first time I've used this thing, and it's pretty cool despite the annoying high pitched ringing that it makes in the background (I had to carefully edit that out).

The second part is kind of a Digitalvibeish sort of remix to the Birthday tune I made with the previous "Happy Birthday Dubstep" songs, then it goes into a full on Drum and Bass remix! Free downloads on this one as well! Enjoy! 

Happy Birthday 2.0

You asked for it! LOL Josh is always making fun of Country music saying that it is the leading cause of depression in the United States, so I decided to make a Country song with the most humorously depressing lyrics that I could think of! 

A few unique things about this song....first I used an actual drum set for the drums in this song. This is the first time I've ever done a drum recording that I think sounds remotely okay. Then I shook off the dust from a few of my acoustic instruments. This song also features my electric guitar which I haven't played in quite a while. I'm pretty sure China is no where close to Nashville but this old strat imposter sure twangs nice with a new set of strings ;)

Last but CERTAINLY not least. I rounded up the Drummond dudes Anton and Aleks to do a bit of backup singing on the last chorus! Alrighty hope you likey. Free Download!

Happy Birthday 1.1

I was trying to figure out what to do for this year's Christmas song and I came up with about 5 different ideas. I didn't have time to do them all, unfortunately, but I managed to actually finish this one early :)This song is a collaboration with some of my best friends and fellow musicians from my church: Katie, Aleks, and Anton. Katie plays the keyboards and sings on the first verse and choruses. Aleks plays the bass guitar and sings on the second verse and choruses. Anton plays the cajon drum and sings on the third verse and harmonies on the chorus. And I play the acoustic guitar and sing on the choruses and harmonies at the end. Hope you enjoy. It's a lot of fun recording songs with other people different genres of music. Oh, and FREE MP3 DOWNLOAD! :D

Merry Christmas to you all!!!! This year for I put together a Christmas CD for my church, from a live recording in 2012. I managed to get the last two tracks mixed just now to post online, still need to rework some of the others. I couldn't help but have a little fun with these last two and added some additional instruments, but the majority of it was done live :) I did some snare drumming on this song, used my Yamaha FB-01 digital synthesizer for the bass, strings, and bell sounds. Then I used the Moog Sub 37 analog synthesizer for the brass and lead sounds.

A Very Merry Outro :)

A mostly-acoustic version of Jingle Bells, featuring the rest of the Kwiatkowski family joining in to make this an "Extra Merry" Christmas special ;) ;). 2011. My friend Josh persuaded me to enter a remix competition for the Newsboys song "Way Beyond Myself." As you can probably tell, I seem to like music from the 80s a lot ;) I pushed my computer past the limit with this one. And it wasn't until now that I had my newer computer that I was able to go back and fix some things. I used the same layered pad synth sound at the beginning as I did in the Random Jam song. But with a little EQ reverb it can sound just like it came from the 80s :)

I wanted to make a song for my friend Josh last year on his birthday but didn't really have the ability to make anything awesome. Now I've got Reason, which is definitely amazing, but I still have a lot of learning to do. This wasn't exactly the type of song I had in mind at first....but hey...it's DUBSTEP, or at least it's my first attempt at a dubstepish song. ;)
