Sophie was on the cusp of fully taking over the world with their artistry. they so keenly understood not only synthesis and production, but commercialism, and how to mobilize all of it in the name of queerness.

I mourn their oeuvre that never was but should have been. I was looking forward to seeing the industry and pop culture continue to upend itself in attempts to keep up with them. The loss is immense.
