Philosophical questions of life and death, inequality and poverty, and the nature of self turned into words, forged in the isolation of incarceration.

These are poems written between 2021 and 2023-
a fusion of electronic sound and lyricism, filtered through the lens of Qraus.

Qraus – Unfix Project 001

Born in 2000 and raised in Nagoya, producer Qraus presents his third instrumental collection: an anthology of electro-hip hop beats crafted between 2018 and 2020. Drawn from live beat performances, field recordings, and raw sampling, the release captures a wide spectrum of moods and textures.

Produced entirely with hardware, the album ranges from the tense, shadowy atmospheres of tracks like “Sentimental5” and “Hallucination”—written during Qraus’s stay in New York—to the bright, techno-infused rhythms of “BomBcycle.”

Qraus – Instrumental Collection Vol.4
Born in Nagoya, trackmaker Qraus delivers his fourth instrumental anthology, produced between 2020 and 2021. Manipulating synthesizers, drum machines, and delay-drenched samples, the album opens with the shadow-soaked “Open the Door”, drifts into the forest-like ambience of “Mysterious Civilization”, shifts into the downtempo trance of “Feel K”, and reaches a fierce climax with the heavy hip-hop beats of “Ravage Isolation” before closing the cycle with “Close the Door.”

A body of listening-oriented electronic music that reflects both light and its inevitable counterpart—shadow. The artwork features a drawing created by Qraus himself from within his “cell.”

Chances are, if you grabbed this one, you already rocked with SIMULAQRA, and that’s what brought you here.

Now, when folks hear “instrumental album,” they usually think it’s like some side dish to the version with the raps. But nah—since I came up as a track maker
 first, I put the same heart into both. This ain’t no throwaway.

On this project, we got DJ YO-HEI a.k.a. PEI outta Sapporo layin’ down scratches, plus ROGUE (QTR) and a whole crew showin’ love. With their energy,
 we cooked up a flavor I could never bring out solo.

Nagoya-born artists QRAUS and JPLOCO deliver a raw depiction of the realities they experienced within Federal and juvenile detention, translating those moments into sharp, introspective rap.
JPLOCO takes the mic on the 1st and 3rd verses, while QRAUS steps in on the 2nd. The track’s production, handled by QRAUS, crafts a dense, cybernetic atmosphere — a sonic dive into digital isolation and reflection.
With a forthcoming EP from JPLOCO on the horizon, and following his transition from beatmaker to rapper, QRAUS continues to expand his vision after releasing his debut rap album Scriptures of Solitude 21.23 and the recent follow-up Simulaqra.

One of the personas that had long existed within my mind has finally been separated.
Whenever I generate sound, there are certain visions that always surface — rain, sorrow, and the darkness of the city.

These are melodies that cannot be fully expressed in words, yet they undoubtedly symbolize something —
ambiguous, abstract tones that allow each listener to form their own unique scenery.
That very uncertainty is what grants freedom to the imagination.

Still, to be honest, there are countless things I wish I could say through words.
But the beat runs deep.
Music itself is the truest universal language, and the thought that these sounds might cross the ocean and reach someone far away makes my heart tremble with excitement.

I may remain unseen — buried among tens of thousands of creators, fading into the wind without ever touching the light.
And yet, I don’t mind.
I will keep creating sound.

Now, Spherehelix, another persona within QRAUS, awakens.
A new door opens — one of brilliance and distortion, where darkness and light collide, revealing a double-speed abstract beat that defies definition.
