The long-awaited collaboration from David Penn, Vintage Culture and Raphaella, ‘Just Stay The Night’ kicks off Defected’s 2025 catalogue. Building on his fruitful relationship with the London label is Spanish selector David Penn, a Defected House Master whose label catalogue includes quality house cuts like 2020’s ‘Nobody’ featuring Dames Brown as well as celebrated remixes of Pete Heller’s ‘Big Love’, Sandy Rivera’s ‘I Can’t Stop’ and Candi Staton’s ‘Hallelujah Anyway’. Kickstarting this year’s releases, he collaborates with Brazilian titan Vintage Culture, a DJ Mag Top 10 artist for the past two years thanks to his distinct and almighty tech sound that has pounded stages from Tomorrowland to Coachella; also no stranger to the Defected catalogue, his modern house hit ‘Nightjar’ with Sonny Fodera featuring SHELLS received global play. Acclaimed dance music writer and vocalist Raphaella joins these powerhouses with ease, having worked with the likes of MK, Sonny Fodera and Martin Solveig. ‘Just Stay The Night’ brings together all three artists’ signature sounds; David Penn’s impactful piano lines meld with Vintage Culture’s driving basslines and rolling percussion, as Raphaella’s alluring vocals come to the fore for an unforgettable collaboration on Defected.

Born and raised in the snowy city of Sapporo, Japan, and now residing in Austin, Texas, Qrion takes inspiration from the robust environments at her whim. Making her own music in high school as a hobby by using her phone, Qrion’s signature sound oozes genuine artistry. ecognized by Spotify’s EQUAL Program with a billboard in New York City’s Times Square, Qrion demonstrated her meteoric rise throughout 2021: Qrion released her debut full-length record I Hope It Lasts Forever via Anjunadeep, her most breathtaking work to date. Along with the release of her single “Monolith” via Last Night On Earth, Qrion was awarded the title of DJ Mag’s 2021 Future Star and was included in Billboard’s 20 Best Dance Albums in 2021. In addition to her album, Qrion has taken her release schedule to the next level with remixes for Gabriel & Dresden, Flownn, Apashe, Catching Flies, and most recently, Röyksopp’s “Breathe".
