As part of the ‘Exploring Faith and Climate Justice’ project, we invited three Quakers who have been involved in various forms of social action throughout their lives to have a conversation. Our hope was to explore the many ways in which we might take action for climate justice (or social justice issues more widely). In the conversation, Marian McNichol, Bob Pickup and Sam Donaldson talk about what social action (or activism or ‘witness’) means to them and how they practise it. They also reflect on where they draw inspiration from when things feel bleak and what advice they might give someone just starting out taking social action.
