A NEW SET FROM THE ‘BEFORE THE CURFEW’ SERIES IS UP ON SOUNDCLOUD. THIS ONE WAS PLAYED BY HUMAN MARGAREETA DURING OUR NEW YEAR’S CELEBRATION ON GROUND FLOOR.

HUMAN MARGAREETA IS A DJ, PRODUCER AND ACTIVIST FROM KYIV WITH A TASTE FOR BASS MUSIC AND BROKEN RYTHMS. SHE IS ALSO THE FOUNDER OF THE QUEER FEMINIST COLLECTIVE ‘CUTICORE’.


THE SERIES IS UPDATED ON A WEEKLY BASIS WITH RECORDINGS OF SETS THAT HAVE BEEN PLAYED IN OUR SPACE SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE RUSSIAN FULL-SCALE INVASION OF UKRAINE. TUNE IN AND DON'T FORGET TO SUPPORT  THE UKRAINIAN ARMY, VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATIONS AND FUNDS, INCLUDING THE ∄ COMMUNITY FUND WHICH CONTINUES TO SUPPORT VOLUNTEER INITIATIVES FROM REPRESENTATIVES OF OUR COMMUNITY.

The concept of space and distance plays an important role in terms of composition and organization of sounds, events in music. Within this mix, OL tried to show how music producers interact with this concept in different ways. As a result of mixing, layering and colliding selected tracks with different techniques and approaches, new, previously non-existent spaces emerge at the intersections.

Sadie La Chèvre and Nora Düster are Extra Bleu Ciel, a minimal synth band based in Biel, Swizerland.
Extra Bleu Ciel is a bipolar borderline hyperactive teenager who likes to eat marshmallows at the cemetery.
Extra Blue Ciel cries with joy contemplating the flight of hysterical crows at sunset.
Extra Blue Ciel loves joyful despair and finds joy hopeless.
Extra Bleu Ciel will always be 15 years old in 1981.

"Hypersensible" is the idiosyncratic trace left by individuals oscillating between nightmare reality and waking dream, sailing between naive euphoria and lucid disillusionment, trying to defy fatality and maintain hope, dancing in the pre-diluvian mud of a dying 21st century.

Cititrax is excited to present the third in a series of four song samplers showcasing the talents of some of the most innovative producers of the moment. Cititrax: Tracks Volume Three features the a powerful new collaboration between Amato (aka The Hacker) and Mariana Saldana (ex-Medio Mutante, Boan), the brutal industrial techno of Barcelona based British producer The Sixteen Steps, a Polish mastermind based in Miami known as His Dirty Secrets, and the NYC underground duo Further Reductions (Shawn O’Sullivan and Katie Rose). The overall sound can be described as modern, uncompromising and guttural. Each artist reinvents dance music by bringing their own unique vision to the floor. 
Artwork designed by Veronica Vasicka and sourced from Polaroids shot in NYC clubs in the 1980s, Cititrax: Tracks Volume Three is pressed on blood red clear vinyl – limited to 999 copies and housed in a matte printed sleeve.
