Produced with and engineered by Billy Oskay, The Portlanders recorded Rosa Lucy live around one mic at Big Red Studio on Monday afternoon. Rosa Lucy is a new waltz drawn from an old traditional Sicilian melody in a grandmother's lyrical response to her granddaughter coming-of-age and a call to remember the dreams and origins of her ancestry.

Four decades as songwriters, musicians and solo performance artists, The Portlanders are a band of old friends who stir it up to full houses of hearts and spirits with uplifting music in Portland, Oregon. Evocative vocals over a calliope of instruments and harmony arrangements lend an urban folk blend to their original, traditional and contemporary music.
