Steam' is a colorful picture of my childhood memories. When I first came up with the idea for this piece, an image of a steam locomotive popped up in my mind. It's the sound of the train that's been carrying me through many stages of my life. It's a reminder of how precious our lives are with the harmony of kindness and humbleness. May you find yourselves embedded in the boldest reflection of yours through these melodies.

'Steam' là một bức tranh đầy màu sắc của ký ức tuổi thơ tôi. Hình ảnh chiếc đầu máy xe lửa hơi nước hiện lên trong tâm trí khi tôi soạn tác phẩm này. Những âm thanh xình xịch của chiếc tàu lửa làm tôi nhớ đến nhiều thăng trầm của cuộc sống. Nó nhắc cho tôi rằng đời sống của chúng ta thật quí giá khi chúng ta sống trong sự hoà hợp với lòng nhân ái và sự khiêm tốn. Có thể bạn cũng sẽ tìm thấy hình ảnh của chính mình qua những giai điệu này.

“Raindrops” is my solo guitar arrangement of the traditional Vietnamese song “Mưa Rơi” of Xá ethnic group. This piece is my fusion experiment of traditional Xá music with modern sounds using Fingerstyle techniques on the guitar. I hope you find your inspiration with life and nature through this piece.

Originally from Vietnam and currently based out of Portland, Oregon, Khoa Le is a modern fingerstyle guitarist who turns the guitar into a full band using opening tuning, tapping, percussive hits, and finger-picking techniques. His compositions draw from his life experiences and experiments with cultural materials and melodic themes. Khoa is embracing his path as a solo artist with the release of his new album “Inner Journey” and upcoming concerts in the United States and Vietnam.
