Mebendazole is an anthelmintic drug and dewormer with anticancer, antifungal properties and an excellent safety record. 

Approved by the FDA for human use since 1974, mebendazole is frequently compared to fenbendazole, which is approved for veterinary use.

Mebendazole, like other benzimidazoles, expels or kills parasites by interfering with tubulin, an important protein in parasites, and preventing glucose uptake. It is believed to similarly impair glucose uptake in cancer cells, causing apoptosis. 

Mebendazole is active against tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, threadworms, pinworms, pork worms, and whipworms.

Cell Danger Response

According to the cell danger response (CDR) theory for chronic illness, CDR is the body's natural cellular response to a threat triggered by various stressors such as an infection. Normally, this is a temporary healing process but when the body is overwhelmed by triggers, the CDR becomes an ongoing condition, increasing the risk of chronic symptoms and illnesses.
