Ralf 'Sono Rhizmo' Droesemeyer travels with the spirit of the beat generation and the heart of the bohemian jazzmen. Hipness is not a state of mind but a fact of life, he says. Call him a modern beatnik, this man is trout fishing all around the globe. 
On the first compilation for his own Agogo Records label Sono Rhizmo collected fi fteen tracks from as many countries he has travelled during the past few months. What we hear is a mix of conscious global beats, social soul and true rhythms, never overtly political but always aware of local matters and global changes. „Agogo Makes The World Go Round“ is a statement of independence, a plea to dig deeper beyond the surface.

From deep, drum-heavy workouts to essential Guinea Bissau melancholy, through remixed Beninese afrofunk and vintage South African kwaito, this second installment features the editing and remixing works of Yeahman (Frente Bolivarista), LSD (Love Saves The Day), Déni Shain (Analog Africa), Umoja, Mawimbi, ATW (Around The World), Calisto, Turbo Boom-Boom (TBB) and Midnight Ravers.

Liquid Ice was a 5 member Cadence-lypso band from Dominica. "Femm' La" was released in 1976 as part of their "En Eruption" album. With maximum respect to the original gem, we came up with this Afro - Cosmic - Disco remix which is available for free download. 
Originated in the 1970s, the Cadence-lypso genre combined calypso music from the English speaking Caribbean and the cadence rampa (or simply kadans) of Haiti with influences of Dominican traditional music. It spread and became popular in the dance clubs around the Creole world and Africa as well as the French Antilles (Guadeloupe and Martinique). It was pushed in the 1970s by groups from Dominica, and was the first style of Dominican music to find international acclaim. Liquid Ice was one of those kadans bands.
