“I came across the original record while I was digging for Middle Eastern music. It had this very energetic and sort of heroic vibe to it. There are a lot of emotions going on throughout the whole song. I just couldn’t get enough of it. So I decided to sample the main parts and completely flip it. I wanted to emphasize the energetic part while making it more mysterious. My goal was to turn it into something new rather than just make it dancefloor friendly. The sample was tough but very fun to play with.”

SINCHI EDITS 14 - Men Nabaaoh Eskina (Lau Tropico Edit)

“Fantasia 85” is an instrumental track by Greek pop-rock artist Kostas Tournas. Originally released in 1984, the track appeared on the b-side of his record “Tora Tora Tora”, and till now it has been a very hard to find treasure for music diggers and DJs.
Boys’ Shorts edit transform it into a six minute cosmic disco journey. In their own words: “We always loved that track, and the idea was to work with it in such a way that we can mix it in our DJ sets. We wanted to keep the basic melody and respectfully work with the elements of the original track. When we included it in our mixtape for Permanent Vacation, many people got in touch with us, asking where to find it. In collaboration with Amour Records and Kostas Tournas, we decided to release FANTASIA 85 on a 100 copy limited edition vinyl that contains our edit and an edit by the French producer Lacquer”.



The Greek DJ / producer duo Boys’ Shorts was founded by Thessaloniki-based artist Vangelis and London-based artist Tareq. 

Been friends for over a decade, they had spend endless hours on the decks together DJing all around Greece and Europe, until they decided to form this music project and share their love for electronic music. 

Their music is a blend of all the things they mix in their DJ sets, from disco to breaks and slow techno to acid. It’s music to make people dance as they say. 

They’ve previously had releases on labels such as Super Drama, Local Suicide’s ‘iptamenos Discos’ as well as Josh Caffe’s ‘Love Child’, and they have delivered remixes for artists like Kasper Bjorke, Yuksek w/ Polo & Pan, Mala Ika, Kito Jempere ft. Wolfram to name a few, whilst their remix for Casey Spooner was included in the Red Hot + Free compilation.

Jessica Bellomo lands on U´re Guay with an ode to versatility and constant evolution. Merging four powerful pieces of different styles and eras evoking the same adventurous and challenging spirit. 

Jessica Bellomo is an Italo-Argentine interdisciplinary artist based in Buenos Aires. Both her productions and DJ sets evoke an eclectic fusion of Italo disco, dark disco, house, electro, breakbeats, EBM and techno sounds. Among his most outstanding performances is the Live-act he performed at La Usina del arte in the framework of "The night of the museums 2018" where together with the feminist group Guerrilla Girlz where he performed live pieces of his own in front of an audience which exceeded 3000 people. He edited on the Beat Code, Beathey, Bodymusick, Machine Control labels (among others) and left his mark on the most important booths in Argentina (Crobar, Bahrain, Niceto club, Requiem, El dorado...). She is a member of the BY WOMANS rooster, 8 BITZ RADIO and the Techno Pop duo COLORADA LIVE.

Maximum Flavour - the new project spearheaded by Matt FX and Giorgio Beatsaface - serves a dose of cheeky nostalgia with ‘Chef’s Kiss’, their debut original offering via Disco Halal. It’s a track that transports dancefloors back to the 80s, back to that classic New York dance music era where queer self-expression and the infamous Paradise Garage sound reigned supreme. With its glistening synths, rolling drums, and trademark jock-jam vocal drop, Maximum Flavour present a stadium-sized interpretation on the Hi-NRG sub-genre, mixing past and future to create a sense of unbridled joy.
On the flip side, label head Moscoman gives his trademark touch, adding an array of drums that up the pace of the track, making it perfect for those peak time moments. Like legendary productions duos before them, Maximum Flavour makes larger than life music for big room play. ‘Chef’s Kiss,' with its unique reference points, is a head-turning opening statement and one that carves its own lane. This is just the beginning of what looks to be quite the explosive journey for this exciting twosome.

A tale of paramount love for machines and the inextinguishable power of subjugation that lies in these button-studded boxes teeming with cabled bowels that feel so intimidating to the uninitiated, Italo Brutalo's longed-for debut album "Heartware" is a 12-track voyage across 25 years of intense synth collecting, fiddling, composing and endless loving for audio synthesis and the art of how robots make human bodies jack.

Throughout the twelve cuts that compose "Heartware", a feeling of retro-gazing, candidly playful glee prevails. Looking right in the eye of the era when dazzling flipper visuals and static-filled VHS glitches reigned supreme, Italo Brutalo invites us to witness first-hand his own textbook smorgasbord of fast-wheeling arpeggios and vocodized hoodoo ("Heartware", "Reach Horizon"), dystopian digital sunsets by the beach ("I Feel Lonely"), early hip-hop-informed whackin' n' thumpin' ("Analog Bars") and the slo but hard churn of a robot heist score ("Nobody Moves").

A lush tapestry of woozy exotic pads set in contrast with a deft and aggro drum programming ("As Above So Below"), followed by a new-beat oriented hammer-drop that shall leave no raver unscathed ("Heat of the Knight"), Italo Brutalo shifts the scope to radical effect whilst maintaining that cohesive headspace flush with the iconic 80s-to-90s-sourced assets. The hardware used in the making of "Heartware" is obviously the star here, and the inner sleeve pays tribute to that: the ideas behind the album have been there waiting to find their way out for over twenty years!

From adrenalin-boosting fractals of keyboard razzle-dazzle ("Chemical Element") to straight out pumping EBM primed for hi-octane mosh pits down the basement ("You Are Welcome"), via polyrhytmic percs-driven assaults and sizzling hot synth-smithery ("Into a Sampler"), the pressure levels never falter. Yet, Italo Brutalo sure knows how to weave further oneiric, softer narratives for your mind to frolic in unhindered ("Dream Machine") and rounds it all off with a total, space-opera'esque epic bound to have you spinning out of orbit into the great unknown ("Eternia"). 

"Heartware" is released in a neat double-vinyl gatefold package presenting the concept and machines involved in its making, including a twelve-page booklet featuring Italo Brutalo's key pieces of gear.

Influenced initially by Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream and Art of Noise, Endrik Schroeder discovered a passion for techno, electro and Italo Disco sounds.  After sereval techno releases for imprints  such as Interface records ( charted by Laurent Garnier  or Dave Clarke to name a few), Endrik returns with more Italo influences and just released a Brillant and strong  EP « Everyday of Your Life » on Zone Records,  the label of The Hacker.

Having a big collection of  music of the 70’s and 80’s Endrik listened one day to « Les Nuits sans Kim Wilde » an French Italo song of 1985 by Laurent Voulzy a famous french songwriter & singer  and thought about actualizing it with a modern touch and some new instruments to include it in his dj sets but keeping the original mood and work it with respect.

Et voilà !  An amazing Edit full of Italo Disco vibes ready to make people dance and travel back to this magical period . Expect the unexpected !
