First released on ‘Melodious Recordings in 2016, “Peace” now gets the remix treatment from Sean McCabe taking it into a dreamy piano led space while adding that hint of bassline funk. 

On the Original 3andOne mixes, Harold’s hypnotic production leaves you feeling at one with the beat, with guest keyboards from none other than house legend Glenn Underground who provides a sultry Rhodes and piano solo touch.

Producer extraordinaire, Opolopo and talented chanteuse, Shea Soul team up for a serious slice of soulful deep house.

“Be Enough” has all the hallmarks of a modern house classic. Shea Soul delivers a bold vocal performance for Opolopo’s confident urban house groove, that blends garage and contemporary house flavours. 

Opolopo is a musician, DJ, remixer, composer and all-round production wizard, who can turn his hand to funk, house, or future soul at ease, which makes him one of Europe’s most talented producers.

Influenced from early age by Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, Jean-Michel Jarre, Isao Tomita, and Kraftwerk, Opolopo now plays as a one-man band from London to Tokyo (equipped with keyboards and vocoder). His music spans over a decade on labels JVC Japan, Warner Brothers, Sony/BMG, Tru Thoughts, Om Records, Local Talk, and Especial Records. Collaboration/remix highlights include the legendary Dazz Band, Craig David, Mr. V, Lanu, Simon Grey, Ok_Ma, Mpho Skeef, Eska, and Sacha Williamson. On the underground tip, his bootleg remixes of Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, and Erykah Badu have music connoisseurs worldwide in a frenzy.

Shea Soul’s musical career has taken a distinctly independent route since leaving the renowned BRIT school. Since then Shea has worked with the likes of Toddla T, Basement Jaxx, Bugs in the Attic, Zed Bias, Calvin Harris, Example, and Shy FX to name a few. Writing and featuring on hit club tracks such as ‘Make it Funky For Me’ with Attacca Pesante, and ‘Perfectly’ with the Layabouts, music has paved the way for Shea. She’s performed to thousands of people worldwide, singing at festivals and stages covering Japan, South Africa, and Europe including London Wembley arena, and Hamburg’s famous Mojo Club, and her writing and vocals have featured on released singles globally. Sean McCabe and Lem Springsteen - Connection

Good Vibrations Music founder Sean McCabe and Mood II Swing co-founder Lem Springsteen have struck up a strong studio partnership over the last couple of years. The collaboration has continued apace during the period of lockdown forced by the continuing global pandemic, with McCabe and Springsteen determined to conjure up something to raise spirits amongst followers of deep and soulful house.

“Connection”, the duo’s third collaborative single on Good Vibrations Music, is a celebration of staying connected whilst we’re forced to stay apart. It features a sensitive, soulful lead vocal from Springsteen – ably supported by Jamelle Jones on backing vocals – reciting his own thoughtful, positive lyrics. The message is simple: we may well be apart, but if we support each other, deeper relationships are still possible. The track that sits beneath is typically musically rich and colourful, with McCabe layering positive chord sequences, stirring strings and lilting synthesizer melodies atop a superb bassline and shuffling deep house drums.

As is now customary, McCabe has delivered a number of alternative versions and remixes to sit alongside the memorable original mix. These include a superb “Reprise” mix, which builds from a dreamy, soulful, beat-free start – allowing Springsteen’s vocal and McCabe’s chords a chance to shine – into a bumpin’ dancefloor treat.

Arguably the most notable alternative version is the “Hook-Up Dub”, where McCabe toughens up the beats, emphasizes the bass and unleashes a string of spacey synth solos. He also makes great use of delay-laden snippets of Springsteen’s vocal and some typically tactile chords.
