"Consider the human, given the choice to consider at all. They want to say “look at this! We’ve never seen anything like it!” With each iteration of increasing complexity, each new motion in what appears to be an accelerating machine that rebuilds itself and engineers new expansion, they want to tell me I haven’t seen it before, yet every time I look even superficially at a historical event, I see it again.
