Fractal Funk

G'day! I am elated to finally be sharing with you my remix of Hedflux's 2012 track 'Diversion'. This remix has been through ALOT of different permutations over the course of its creation. I knew I wanted to do something slightly out of the norm with the parts, but wasn't sure what until i'd made about 4 different variants of the same track, and eventually glued my favourite parts together.

This is my first ever remix for Steve, it was such a pleasure to remix the man that got me started on this kind of music. He originally asked me to have a crack at 'Mindcell', but I wimped out haha.

This remix will be coming out on Hedflux's very own label, (LUMINUS) as part of the Hedflux Remixed series. There's some seriously cool remixes to come from some of the best producers around, so i'm psyched to be a part of it.

BIO:
QUANTUM EFFECT project was created by 23 years old Tomas Krivda from Slovakia. Since his early age he felt that music is the only thing that he truly loves and makes him free. His grandpa with who he spent a lot of time is the oldest active artist playing on rare knob accordion recently also on digital, in the north central Slovakia. Finally when he was 18 he decided to buy his first turntables and mixer. When he firstly touched a vinyl the remarkable feeling powered his vision even more so he started to learn and practice. It took about a year and he started his professional DJ career in 2009, with the Drum and Bass especially Neurofunk. The next five years he spent playing on more than a hundred gigs in Central Europe and promoting and managing tenths of dnb events in Slovakia. 
Around the year 2013 he started to be more attracted by the Breaks and Psy-Trance, which he used to listen a bit previously. Since then he started to take it professionally and decided that this is the right direction. His sets are harmonic and creative charged with a lot of energy resulting in synergy of Psychedelic Breaks and Psy-Trance. Recently he is learning Ableton, so there will be also his own smashing pieces soon. His vision is to spread happiness and love among everybody who is willing to.

Projekt QUANTUM EFFECT založil len 23 ročný Tomáš Krivda, pochádzajúci zo Slovenska. Od svojho útleho veku cítil, že hudba je jediná vec ktorá ho napĺňa a robí ho voľným. Jeho starý otec, s ktorým trávi veľa svojho voľného času, je najstarším aktívnym umelcom hrajúcim na gombíkovú harmoniku, momentálne na digitálnu, na strednom Slovensku. Okolo roku 2008 sa rozhodol kúpiť svoje prvé gramofóny a mix. Keď sa prvýkrát dotkol vinylovej platne zažil nezabudnuteľný pocit, ktorý jeho víziu ešte viac naštartoval a tak sa začal učiť a skúšať viac. Po približne roku začal svoju kariéru profesionálneho DJ-a, v roku ,konkrétne štýlom Drum and Bass najmä Neurofunk. Ďalších 5 rokov strávil hraním na viac než stovke akcií v strednej Európe a tiež usporadovaním a manažovaním ďalších desiatok eventov.
Okolo roku 2013 ho začala viac lákať hudba štýlu Breaks a Psy-Trance, ktorú už predtým poznal. Netrvalo dlho začal hrať viacmennej len tieto štýly a uvedomil si, že to je jeho cesta ako ďalej. Jeho hudobné sety sú harmonické, kreatívne a plné pozitívnej energie vytvárajúc spojenie štýlov Psychedelic Breaks a Psy-Trance. Najnovšie začal s učením Abletonu, takže sa máme skutočne na čo tešiť. Jeho víziou je šíriť šťastie a lásku každému, kto je ochotný ich prijať.
