I have noticed that this might be a vintage sampler/synthesizer right after first listening, not even seeing the description...

I'm not sure which genre this is (synthwave, maybe?), reminds me of music from an 80's film - nice arrangement and instrumentation (drum samples notwithstanding... ;)

The sharp attack on the lead makes it feel somewhat to angular for me. The soft/sharp contrast on the reprise later works well, though. Nice touch.

Really good drums, btw. Nice overall colors too.

Phrasing of final solo is not very strong, imo.

It's a nice track. I don't know if you're a Pink Floyd fan, but if not then it's quite a coincidence that you have at least two of their classic early 1970s sounds in the first 15 seconds.  First, the heartbeat similar to intro to Dark Side of the Moon album, followed by the instrument from "Echoes".  Don't what that latter instrument is, but you nailed it!  The rest of the track sounds vintage, and is nicely done, but doesn't remind me of PF much at all, other than being nicely put together.

This time - in Jan.23-round of the OneSynthChallenge - one Synth included in the DAW had to be used. Now, MuLab (by Mutools) is an affordable, but (at least for me) musically inspiring DAW with a slim but powerfull composer and including an extremely flexible synth called MUX. It's even possible to include another composer within the synth ....
Now this song is made with MuSynth, which contains synth- and effect-modules of MUX, but no samples at all.
I used 14 instances of MuSynth with some MUX-EQ, compressor, limiter, echo and reverb. Only in the master I used "MHorse P3" and "LoudMax" - both are available for free.

Gazing At Shoes (OSC167 - Reason & Europa)

Made with one instance of Alchemy in Logic, played live for OSC 167. Tried to reproduce the sound i remember playing recitals as a kid in a large hall that was rented out at the time. I used a compressor to ensure no peaks and a channel eq with a gentle shelving cut to remove some low-end flutter I couldn't figure out how to tame with synthesis or Alchemy's built-in EQ. No other plugins. Fun synthesis challenge, combined with a compositional challenge.
