Northern Psylight records is situated in Bergen, Norway. The label started out in 2006, and the first release, «Psylight Xplosion», was out in september the same year.
The label started with Ketil Mardal ( aka. Dj Ketil m ) and Flips ( Leif Erik Askeland ) running the label together. Flips and Ketil worked together up to the fourth compilation, Psylight the Night», before Flips decided to pursue other goals. 
Ketil has since then been running the label on his own, still trying to keep the sound the way he and Flips have done previously, and traveling around europe to promote the Northern Psylight sound. 
Another important thing for Northern Psylight records ( NPR ) ha been to release unknown artists that NPR feels deserve the help to be heard. NPR have also released known artists as f.ex. Trold, Ajja and Braincell, and the reason is that they have the sound that NPR like to present. 
«5th Dimension» is the 5th compilation from NPR, and the release is here to show that NPR has not given up! To run a psytrance label is no lucrative business, if any business at all? To do it you need 2 things: A GREAT passion for psytrance and all that it involves, and do not expect to make money. If you don´t have these 2 qualities, you can forget running a psytrance label.
The two mixes that I have put together are different in styles. The first part of the mix is a blend of tracks from earlier releases. It´s a mix focused on night time, and these earlier releases shows that NPR was ahead of it´s time when it came to releasing this kind of psytrance. It´s only in the last few years that people have opened their ears to this style.
The second part of the mix is a more «sit down and listen to mix», all the tracks are from NPR´s latest release : «5th Dimension». The tracks are mixed together from track 01 to 09 straight. Hope you will enjoy both! Bom!

I invited artists who have been part of my journey in psytrance to create tracks that would be my gifts: each one carries a piece of history, affection, and shared trajectory.

This V.A. is an affectionate record, an encounter of worlds that have crossed paths in my sound and in my personal life. There are people who have been with me since the beginning and artists who came later to expand, add to, and open new eras alongside me. If my birthday party were music, this would be the sound of "Happy Birthday," and that was the intention of the album: to unite the beginning, the middle, and today in a single story.

“Play My Birthday” doesn't just celebrate my birthday. It marks a turning point, a rebirth, a new phase of my project and my life. And, like any good surprise party, this V.A. arrives with that feeling of:
“nobody was expecting this… and that's what makes it so enjoyable.”

Esse V.A é um registro afetivo, um encontro de mundos que se cruzaram no meu som e na minha vida pessoal. Tem gente que está comigo desde o começo e artistas que chegaram depois para expandir, somar e abrir novas eras ao meu lado. Se a minha festa de aniversário fosse música, este seria o som do parabéns, e essa foi a intenção do álbum: unir o começo, o meio e o hoje em uma história só.

“Play My Birthday” não celebra só meu aniversário. Marca uma virada, um renascimento, uma nova fase do meu projeto e da minha vida. E, como toda boa festa surpresa, esse V.A chega com aquele sentimento de:
“ninguém estava esperando por isso… e é isso que o torna tão gostoso.”

In practice that means we can change, organize, clean, purify, harmonize, raise vibrations, ultimately, make changes in the subtle levels of material using sound as a tool of energetic/vibration work. Quark é a parte mínima da matéria , é um dos elementos bases que a compõe. A realidade e toda a matéria pode ser moldada a partir de uma força, a intenção. O som é sagrado, ele potencializa e pode reger essa força  ou seja ele é um elemento formador de realidades,  uma possibilidade alquimica, no sentido que pode transformar uma realidade em outra. A interação da matéria com qualidades diferentes de som produziu diferentes conformações moleculares. Na prática isso quer dizer que podemos alterar, organizar, limpar, purificar,harmonizar, elevar vibrações, enfim, realizar transformações nos níveis sutis  da matéria utilizando o som como ferramenta de trabalho energético/vibracional.
