These 4 tracks came to life in April 2019. At the time all the QR songs I was tracking were for my next LP. After coming home from a visit with friends a lot of weird shit happened and I made these songs in response to that, remembering easier times, navigating present uncertainties, and processing how they might shape the future. These songs came from a different place and sound very different from everything else I was doing at the time so I decided they stood alone as the "Overload" EP.

i can't believe i actually did this

but here are 5 songs mostly written and recorded during the shelter-in-place order in santa cruz,  except for "i wanna sleep in your arms" by jonathan richman and james osterberg (i guess iggy pop collaborated on the songwriting?). i guess they all commonly share inspiration from themes surrounding love both in my life and as a human constant.

i am approaching the age so many of my idols were when they released their most iconic work. soon i may outlive several of them as well.
