First held in 1962, the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition has established itself as a joyous festival dedicated to the discovery and celebration of the world's finest young pianists. 
Nobuyuki Tsujii (born September 13, 1988) is an amazing Japanese pianist, born blind but gifted with a talent for music. 
John Giordano who was jury chairman for the Cliburn competition, said, “He’s amazing. We closed our eyes and it’s so phenomenal that it’s hard to withhold your tears. Nobu played the most difficult hour-long Beethoven piece (Hammerklavier, Sonata no. 29) flawlessly. For anyone, it’s extraordinary. But for someone blind who learns by ear, it’s mind-boggling.”

This album is a heartfelt musical journey dedicated to the people of Cyprus and the dream of unity on one island. Blending Greek Cypriot, Turkish Cypriot, and the other ethnic groups that shape Cyprus, along international influences, it weaves together traditional melodies, peace songs, and instrumental works to create a cross-cultural tapestry of hope, memory, and togetherness.

The opening track, “Unite (3 Languages)”, sets the tone with a call for harmony across the divide. From the Cypriot folk essence of “Psintri Vasilicha” and “Ehe Via Panagia” (from Constantinople) to the deeply reflective “San Ton Metanasti” (“Like a refugee on your own land”), the album captures both the pain of displacement and the longing for belonging.

Nature and identity shine in “Hrisso Brasino Filo” (“The golden-green tree of Cyprus”), a symbol of the island’s beauty, while resilience is echoed through the world-famous protest song “Bella Ciao,” here sung in Turkish. Instrumental gems like “Scherzo Petahto” (a dance piece) and “Ora Kali” (a traditional wedding song) bring moments of joy and festivity.

International classics are honored as well, with the moving “Schindler’s List” theme—widely recognized as a song of peace—and the serene “Meditation” by Massenet, adding a universal dimension of reflection and healing.

The journey closes with “Eshen Vereve / Dillirga,” a duet of Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot folk traditions intertwined, symbolizing shared roots and the possibility of reconciliation.

Each track speaks to Cyprus’s cultural richness and the enduring desire for peace. This album is not just music—it is a bridge, a dedication to unity, and a tribute to those who believe in living together as one.

Schindler's List


String trio "The White Birds" is dedicated to "Trio Baltia" musicians Paula Šūmane (violin) Eugenia Frolova (viola) and Anna Veselova (cello). Their outstanding musicianship and personalities have inspired the concept of this work. I have selected four beautiful white birds who do not have nice singing voices - mute swans, collared doves, seagulls and white storks. These are not the greatest songbirds. White storks, for example, have a completely underdeveloped larynx. They make only hissing and croaking sounds as well as clacking noises with their beaks. The most characteristic sound of the Swan, on the other hand, is the flapping of the wings as the bird migrates away.  There are also the lovingly cooing doves and the seagulls, the bearers of the freedom and spirit of the sea. Each of the four miniatures introduces the sound world  and therefore poetic expression of a particular bird. 
"The White Birds" is the winning composition of International Rostrum of Composers 2025.

Legacy Broken is a cinematic orchestral concept album that explores the psychological weight of legacy, family, and emotional silence. Blending restrained elegance with hypnotic minimalism, each track unfolds like a room in a haunted memory palace—echoes of conversations, legal inheritances, betrayals, and unresolved grief.

Muted strings, fractured piano motifs, trembling horns, and emotionally conflicted harmonic structures form a sonic language of unspoken tension and decaying tradition. The arrangements resist resolution, allowing silence, repetition, and space to carry as much meaning as melody.

This album is not just a score — it’s a portrait of inheritance, power, and the long shadows of memory. The finale song "Inheritance of Silence" concludes with a vocalized song about empty love, wealth and social responsibility.
