Hey everyone!! This release is a fairly personal one, and I wanted to start 2023 off strong. For those who don't know, 2022 was a bit of a rough year for several personal reasons, but for this project it was a huge milestone of a year. I want to thank everyone who's ever listened to my music or commented, it literally meant the absolute world this year. I also want to say a huge thank you to Skye for not only releasing these stems, but for helping my career in SEVERAL ways over the years, and being a great friend too :) I put my all into this remix, and since it's been a while, I'm making it a free download as well. My first release of 2021 was a remix of another Skybreak tune, and I thought it'd be fitting to do the same thing for 2023. I hope you all enjoy, and thanks again for making 2022 the best year for KERO I could've asked for <333

Completely intact, she observed an almost unconscius Quartzone, surrounded by his friends and being held by Scarlet. Her beloved children, filled by the wounds of a battle she always tried to evade. The people of Crystallia were looking silently. Madre finally understood. 

She was mistaken, the kingdom was not the priority. Not when you have a family to protect. She remembered the joyful moments she spent raising Quartzone and Scarlet alongside her husband, a monarch who was too worried about the fate of his land. Madre became a monster, and she knew an apology would not be enough to kill the remorse of her acts. She dropped the Royal Sword and, in tears, she started talking.

- I-I am proud of you. - Quartzone looked weakly at her, Scarlet did the same. - Look who you have become, my precious children... - Madre fell to her knees. - And I, instead... - Her voice was cracking. She didn't want to live anymore. Not like this. She looked at Quartzone and began to explain, just as if she already knew he had lost his memories.

- Your father's obsession with keeping Crystallia safe weakened him, and his soul got corrupted. "He" was trying to come back through his body. - Madre stopped and Quartzone started remembering. He nodded and his mother went on. - When he began to cause trouble in Mooth and set the kingdom in flames, you knew the only solution was to seal his soul in your own, but when you did it, the 13 Spectral Swords your dad was carrying were also plunged into you, causing your memory loss. - Madre stopped and Quartzone nodded again. - After the battle, you fell unconscious, and I carried you to Gaia, the sacred place you woke up in. 

Having heard the conversation, Amesynth thought to herself: "Exactly Thirteen Swords? Interesting." 

- With your body corrupted by the soul you sealed, my fate as the Queen was to end the problem from the source. I was so blinded by your dad's will... I forgot who I was.- Madre felt silver tears going down her face.

Quartzone apporached her mother and stared at her. Madre looked back at him, broken inside. The Scarf Hero smiled and gently hugged her. Chalcelle looked at them, she was surprised. Cyan and Pinkee remained silent. It was hard to know what they were thinking. Amesynth looked away.

During the hug, the Queen's mind was filled by memories of the siblings' childhood, and the love she would always give them.

Scarlet moved slowly towards them to join yhem.

- Look how strong you have become, Scarlet. I am proud of you, and your decissions. - Madre smiled. She proceeded to step back and look at her two children.

- Thank you. Quartzone. Scarlet.

- Thank you. Mom. - They replied.

Madre's body started to disintegrate in beautiful radiant silver shards from bottom to top. Quartzone and Scarlet were still hugging each other, looking at the glowy lights of the shards.  Before completely disappearing, the Queen said:

"I love you."

SYRUM & Lucid Dreamer - Singularity

Back in the depths of the Lost Lake, the three bears and the squirrel approached the big prismatic statue with the slots for the fragments.

- Your turn, smarty. - Amesynth teased Bubbles. The purple bear found it slightly annoying that the squirrel knew as much about bear technology as her, but she didn't hate her for it. As the only remaining bear on the surface of Crystallia who knows it, she was really competitive.

The squirrel shook her head, looking at her with disdain, but she obeyed and meticulously placed each fragment in its place. After a few moments of silence, the shards started glowing and the prism opened in half.

- Here he comes. - Bubbles said.

From inside the statue, a giant mechanical creature emerged. It was shaped like a big squid. 

- Alright. He should be completely harmless for now, so if we want to find what's causing the weird behaviour of the mechanical fishes, we should have a look at how he reacts to each crystal shard. - Amesynth explained. - We need to inject him with an extract of each one in the core so we can fix him.

She proceeded to head to the compartment of the core in order to open it. She noticed how the security cannons placed in the rocks of the lake turned to point at her. The Spectral Guardian was built by the bear tribe centuries ago at the request of Damien, the leader of the fish tribe that lived in the Lost Lake during that time. The cannons were intended to protect the population of the place from every menace.

Cautiously, she introduced the emerald extract in the core. The cannons began to produce a rising noise, as if they were activating a mechanism.

 - I need to be quick... - Bubbles whispered.

She nimbly inserted the second shard in the core, the sapphire one. This time, the compartment closed and the cannons began shooting medium-sized projectiles, big enough to destroy a house on one hit. Bubbles dived away from her position, but the guns followed her. The mechanical fishes started appearing, ready to attack her. 

- Amesynth! There's a mechanism to turn the cannons off in each of them! Chalcelle could probably deactivate them with her crossbow if you tell her where to aim! - Bubbles shouted while she fastly dove in every direction possible to avoid the projectiles. 

Amesynth nodded and Chalcelle looked at her. Moving quickly, she began explaining.

- Do you see that lever on the right side of the cannons? That's the way of turning them off! Go ahead! - She then looked at Quartzone. - She will be busy aiming and will be slower when moving. I count on you to protect them from the robotic fishes!

Chalcelle nodded, she quickly drew her crossbow and aimed at the lever of one of the cannons. It stopped firing.

- Good job! - Amesynth exclaimed.

Chalcelle did the same for the next few cannons. One of them remained, but she ran out of arrows, and a projectile crossed the water at quick pace. Quartzone hit it with both his blades and re-directed it back, impacting right into the cannon that initially fired it, causing an explosion that destroyed the rock where the gun was placed.

The compartment opened again and Bubbles introduced the last fragment, the ruby shard, hoping nothing else happened. The mechanical fishes started surrounding her, with their red eyes. Completely blocked, Bubbles praised that the injections worked. In order to help, Amesynth and Quartzone prepared their blades.

Instead of attacking her, the fishes just circled around her.

- Phew... - Bubbles sighed with relief.

- I think the Spectral Guardian is thanking us for the help. - Amesynth said.

Quartzone looked at the squid-sized statue. Despite being made out of stone, he looked like he was smiling now. The Scarf Bear didn't know why, but he smiled back at him.

- Let's tell Bertinus about this. - Bubbles smiled. 

After doing so, and returning the shards to their temples, the heroes met at the entrance of the Lost Lake.

- Do you want to join the Crystal Guard? - Quartzone asked Bubbles.
