Blush Recordings unveils its thirteenth release, Freedom Dilemma EP, a personal and evocative work from the label’s co-founder, Skaliger. Through four tracks, @skaliger explores the liberating and unifying power of techno, crafting a soundscape that blends rhythmic precision with emotional depth.

The EP begins with Freedom from Fear, a hypnotic, basement-inspired track driven by a continuous arpeggio that builds an atmosphere of tension and raw energy. Its counterpart, Freedom from Fear (Suburban Version), adds acid-infused textures and breakbeat rhythms, delivering a grittier, more kinetic interpretation.

Echoes of Freedom takes a reflective turn, drawing on Detroit influences with dubby pads and layered harmonics that evoke movement and introspection. The journey concludes with Tribute to 33, a heartfelt breakbeat composition dedicated to a late friend Andrea Bottacini. Melancholic yet uplifting, the track incorporates his friend’s voice, offering a moment of intimacy and reflection within the EP.

With Freedom Dilemma, Skaliger channels his vision of techno as a space for liberation and personal connection.
