The alternative r&b movement in the early 2010’s (mixtapes Nostalgia Ultra🗡️, Sailing Souls⛵️, and Thank Me Later) has heavily inspired the project. Tame Impala’s psychedelic 🍄 hypno-groove melodic rocksound is also a huge influence. I wanted to pay homage to the current artist that have inspired me, and my sound 🎶 by covering songs by them that tell the story of my journey, as well as some original poetry, interludes, and original songwriting as well on several tracks. 🪕 So far I’ve released its lead cover single ‘Strawberry Swing’ (Frank 🌊 Ocean Cover) on my SoundCloud🌩️, and YouTube channel. The mixtape release date 8/26/23 is the anniversary date of my first mixtape ‘Days In The Midwest’ 🌵6 years ago, on SoundCloud, YouTube, and Datpiff.com as well as across various mixtape websites.

‘On A Journey’ 🐫

Days in the Midwest is my debut mixtape released in August 26th 2017 on Soundcloud, and Datpiff.com. It has a total of 11tracks. The mixtape is heavily inspired by the ‘Nostalgia, Ultra’ mixtape by Frank Ocean, and the alternative R&B movement of its time. I wrote every song, and it's an introduction to who I am, where I come from, and what I represent. The lyrics and theme’s of this project are about accepting, and embracing my sexuality, finding myself, and then  losing myself, life growing up in the 90’s in Tulsa, love, and relationships, celebrating the history of Black Wall Street in Greenwood, and following my dreams in an environment that seems scarce. Produced by Solray, the mixtape produced four singles: Four Wings, 11:11, Days In The Midwest, and Black Wall Street on Itunes, Tidal, Spotify, and all streaming platforms.
