2021 Melodic Deep

Since i first heard Vivaldi´s Spring in the version of Max i fell in love with his interpretation so deeply, i always knew i had to use it at least once in one of my podcasts im compiling once in a while. It got so stuck in my head that one night last summer i dreamt about listening a new electronic version in a fictional place and i remember i really wanted to know who was the artist that did another take on this beautiful piece. After i woke up i noticed nobody yet had done it and it became clear that it would be myself doing the new version. Vivaldi´s 4 seasons is something special since i was a young child as it is the vinyl we listened to every christmas while we were waiting to receive our gifts. Now i feel the circle closes after all these years and i hope my version is doing the in this case 2 Originals a favour and giving these masterpieces another modern twist people can enjoy and get in touch with classical & electronic music.

'Clarity' is a single related to a larger project 'Tapes For Grounding,' a 4-track ambient EP I will be releasing later this Spring. It's a song I wrote about a year ago after coming to terms and realizing something I was going through at the time. The idea sparked up while going for a walk during a sunset which made me want to make this song very warm and inviting. Guitar played by my good friend Jaron is also included on this song, and it really adds so much beauty to it! I hope this song becomes a form of comfort for those who listen to it!

2021 marked the long-awaited return of Bristol-based duo Icarus to Anjunadeep. Their original ‘Moment In Time’, featuring vocals from acclaimed British singer-songwriter Jamie N Commons, now gets a fresh take from rising Quebecois producer CRi.

CRi lands back on Anjunadeep after a landmark year, following the release of his highly-praised debut LP ‘Juvenile’ and the subsequent string of A-list remixes from the likes of Gerd Janson, Kornél Kovács and Icarus themselves. 

The album, which has totalled over 10 million streams worldwide, topped the NACC electronic albums chart and was hailed by the likes of Clash, NME, and FLAUNT, has also earned CRi a nomination for Best Electronic Album at Canada's prestigious JUNO Awards.
