It always start with a visit, either i go to copenhagen to visit Phaxe or he comes over to berlin to visit me. "Freetown" started in the end of 2019, when we were preparing for the "End of the year tour" in brazil. That day I woke up in copenhagen and i heard Kevin and his girlfriend in the next room watching some Video which had a beautiful melody. I found it sick too, and as Kevin never hesitate when something catches his vibe, he started to replay it on the i pad piano. With that very raw idea in our mind, we immediately went to the studio to translate it in our way. It went around for a couple of sessions, and took a while, as we couldn´t travel to each others places during the pandemic. It´s a very honest song, like all of our songs, straight from the heart.

Phaxe & Querox - Freetown

Born 1987 in West Germany. Not being a good kid in the hood, the teachers said. And still the musician, who has lived in berlin since 2007, made his name to a figurehead of the progressive psytrance scene. The young man is by no means a reserved type. Querox keen sense of music has enabled him to move crowds around the world since 2010, which was also the year he founded the record label "Prog On Syndicate" which by 2015 had become one of the most successful german record labels in the psytrance scene and brought many new artist into the spotlights. After his 1st album release "How Life Goes On" in 2012 Querox went its way from a local secret to an internationally recognized musician. At a very young age the producer and DJ established himself as one of the most successful Progressive Psytrance artist in the world. Today Querox can be seen at the world's most famous events and festivals all around the globe.
