Marina Orchestra releases new single “Poor Heart” in anticipation of their upcoming third studio album and Jazz Fest 2020 performance. The song is a vibrant and melodic jam inspired by a Victor Uwaifo beat and the soaring guitar stylings of Congolese Soukous music. As usual with Marina Orchestra, these far-flung influences are all woven together by songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Justin Powers to produce a rollicking and groovy style of rock that is distinctly original. The lyrics tell the story of overcoming heartbreak by acknowledging that time heals all wounds. This release kicks off the ten year anniversary of the band which began in Knoxville, TN in 2010 and relocated to New Orleans in 2015.
