The sky has cracked wide open, as the earth begins to burn. 
Still, you wander, eyes closed, ignoring the storm. 

(Whisper: “Do you hear it?”)

The horns of judgment have split the silence. 
But you— you keep your ears shut, deaf to the truth roaring louder than the storm itself.

There is no escape, not now, not anymore,
The end is here, it’s what you’ve been waiting for,
In the silence, the truth will resonate,
It has always been too late.

You seek shelter in shadows, but they draw closer, tighter, colder. 
You can’t escape them. 
The ground beneath you shatters, choices, paths, all laid before you, 
and still, you stumble, chasing nothing.

Decent into Theatre

The city screws the sky, a neon shrine, electric curses etch the night’s design.
Rain falls thick, laced with rust, reeking raw with sweat-soaked lust. A snitch moves fast, voice like a blade, cutting through the deals we’ve made. Velvet shadows, sharp as sin, revelry erupts where the piper begins.

Through the haze, I light my smoke, a fleeting glow in this chokehold yoke.

Walking these streets, cigarette in hand, a detective lost in a fractured land. Chasing shadows, truth burns low, in this noir future, where secrets grow.

Dames in silk and steel, eyes that lie, Laughter cuts like a jagged cry. Bodies grind, souls bolted tight, fucking the rhythm of a broken night. We stagger on dreams turned to ash, each step a wound, each breath a slash.

Hunting what’s lost, clawing the past, the snitch’s gaze flares, fleeting and fast.

Rain on my coat, ember glows dim, the city’s a beast, and I’m locked within.

Walking these streets, smoke in the air, a detective with a cross to bear. Chasing embers, slipping through time, in this shit-hole, hunting a sign.

Sanctuary’s a lie, schemes in shards, innocence rots with broken bards. The ember fades, the spark is dead, yet the chase pounds on in my head. This march never quits, thrashing through tears and spits. Nameless, dragged by need, ripped by hunger, primal greed.

Walking these streets, cigarette’s last glow, a detective in a world he’ll never know. Junkies bound to the flame, high on a forbidden game.

I’m struttin’ down the street, mindin’ my own game, step in somethin’ squishy, oh, it’s fuckin’ insane. It’s warm, it’s fresh, ain’t no dog in sight, a hobo grins at me, he just shat with delight.

“Hey, dude, did you just—?” “Yeah, man, had to go!”

“Motherfucker!” I yell, “this is my new kicks!” Now I’m hoppin’ like a fool, scrapin’ off his shit.

Why’s this shit always happen to me? (happen to me)

Just tryin’ to walk, can’t you see? (can’t you see) 
From the turds on the ground to the stink in the air, 
I’m a goddamn punchline, life ain’t fair.

So I’m wipin’ my sole, usin’ some old stick, car flies by, splashes me with piss real quick.
Ain’t just water, it’s sewage, oh hell, now I’m drenched in crap, fuckin’ now I smell like a well.

“Are you shittin’ me? This is next-level bullshit!”

I curse the sky, “You son of a bitch!”
But the clouds just laugh, dumpin’ more of this stitch.

Wade through shit-water, bed’s floatin’ away,
Spoken: “This is it! I’m done with this day!”

Sit in the mess, start laughin’ like mad,
‘Cause if I don’t, I’ll lose what I had.
“Fuck my life,” I sing, it’s a twisted ballet.

So if you spot me walkin’, better run real fast, trouble’s my bitch, it sticks to my ass. 
I’ll keep on strollin’, cursin’ with cheer, in this shitshow of life, I’m the pioneer.

A wraith convulses—
Hide and seek.
I’m the prey.
Flesh flayed open, fists relentless,

I carve tallies in the wall’s cracked grain.

Narrator:
The deck quakes, splintered planks groan as brine surges in, and a hellish curse claws the escaped souls back beneath the gale.

Pirate Captain:
Arrr, behold yon Reaper’s maw, a dread grin o’ sharpen’d bone,
Jagged teeth that drag marrow from ribs to marrow’s throne.
It snaps wi’ th’ crack o’ brittle skulls, gore sprayin’ like cursed ale,
Green embers dance in hollow sockets, gutting night wi’ pale.

Narrator:
Lanterns gutter, baring phantom limbs writhing to be dragged back into Hell’s maw.

Pirate Captain: 
‘Round its crown o’ shattered skulls, their sockets drip wi’ rot,
Tongues flop like kelp in tidal churn, each eye a battered blot.
Bones swing on bloody strings, carrion once hale an’ whole
Now quake ’neath the ashen moon, where death’s foul currents roll.

The brine’s a graveyard, limbs adrift, ye piss-stain’d arse, ye bilge-rat spawn.

A banshee wind wails, lost souls begging not to be dragged back into hellfire.

Yet mark me, worm-ridden blight, cockroach-crawl’n spawn o’ Davy’s depths,
I’ll ne’er bow nor crack nor yield, nor choke on yer mangled breaths.
I’ve cleft more skulls at waterline than yer nightmares dare t’ dream,
An’ I’ll gut yer bleedin’ carcass for Davy Jones, ye feather-brained bilge fiend.

Pirate Captain: 
So shove yer gaze into th’ depths, where ice an’ salt conspire,
I’ll rip yer maw, bone by blasted bone, an’ snuff yer dyin’ fire.
I be th’ Rift’s unbroken scourge, unyieldin’ ’til me final blast,

Why, then, do I feel isolated in this sea of plurality? Words spin a narrative of connection, a story where individualities merge seamlessly into a collective journey. But the story unravels at the edges; the chorus fails to echo my voice. This connection, fragile and fleeting, slips through my fingers like a sunset fading into the night.

In the hush of cracked walls and faded paint,
Where your voice once carved lessons into the silence,
I stand, a shadow of the boy you raised, (Raised)
Grasping at fragments that crumble like brittle leaves.

Your hands, weathered by a lifetime of unspoken sacrifices,
Mapped the edges of strength and tenderness,
Now their absence presses hard against my chest, (My Chest)
A weight I carry with every breath I take.

By the lake, where the dawn whispered promises,
You taught me how to find stillness amidst the storm,
Now I skim my hand across waters that cannot hold you,
Reaching for a reflection that was stolen by time. (Whisper: No time)

The years unraveled too quickly, threads pulled loose by the wind,
Taking with them the moments I didn’t know I’d need,
I grew taller under your gaze, but now I bend beneath your absence,
Alone under a moon that offers no answers.
