Quiet Disorder team up with Anderson and Katrine Stenbekk on 
the powerful Silence Before The Storm

Following a massive remix of Pegboard Nerds’ Blackout and rowdy dance single Rules, impressive duo Quiet Disorder return to disco:wax for a truly mesmerising collaboration with young Norwegian newcomer Anderson and vocalist Katrine Stenbekk.

Katrine Stenbekk’s silky smooth vocals glide over the dreamy piano arpeggios of the intro, a hazy chillout vibe putting us at ease, making us unaware of the power that’s yet to be unleashed. The chorus plays out as the beats build up the energy, until sharp, fizzing synths burst into life to play out the lead melody over a chunky post-trap rhythm. 

More beautiful melody joins in the next verse, with shimmering, twinkling keys and delicate synth blips helping to build a truly heavenly atmosphere. The second build is more dramatic still, with cinematic, heavily reverbed drum hits creating a primal feel. The production invokes a feeling of organic nature and widescreen vistas, perfectly fitting with the lyrical content.

Norwegian vocalist Katrine Stenbekk is a hugely versatile talent, having lent her voice to everything from trance to chillwave to future garage tracks. She is a frequent collaborator with Boom Jinx, having made several appearances on the prestigious Anjunabeats with them. Her style is matched perfectly to Quiet Disorder and Anderson’s stunning production in this epic new single.

We feel we have been able to keep it true to the «Quiet Disorder sound» but also managed to challenge ourselves by blending a really organic vocal performance by Em with a heavy electronic backtrack and twisting it all up with a huge orchestral arrangement that works really well in the main break.”
