Relaxing, ambient works, mixed with the sounds of nature, really makes you feel like you're by the base of a mountain. breaking (Austin Johnson) is a Brooklyn based filmographer, photographer, and musician who often draws inspiration from nature in his works. He frequents birding around the NY area and his photography is featured through out the quiet mountain instagram.

quiet mountain radio is back just in time as the seasons start to change into fall. It's still a little warm out, but each day is starting and ending cooler. This collection is focused on the feeling of long drives at night, when the sun is starting to set. The rolling bass lines are key in each one of the songs selected, and emphasize that feeling of movement in a car. It's a way to relax and enjoy the the ride.

this playlist focuses on variations of popular brazilian genres including jazz-funk, soul, bossa nova and MPB.

quiet mountain radio returns as we in full summer swing. The sun is out earlier, and setting later giving all of us more time to spend outside. This collection is focused on the feeling of sitting out on a balcony during those summer days. Waking up a little later, enjoying a cup of coffee on a patio chair, or winding down with a glass of wine watching the sunset. This playlist is a culmination of different types of popular brazilian music genres, all focused on just having a good time. 

A giant thank you to a close friend of the cafe, Fabiano Amorim (https://www.instagram.com/fabreaze/) who helped find all of these songs. Fabiano actually gave us 3+ hours of music, and we narrowed down to our favorites while also showcases a different artist through out the playlist. Thank you Fab!!!

This collection of songs are about winding down, or easing up, and thinking about places that you do that; lounges, listening bars, cafes. Focusing on a genre of music dubbed ‘barber beats’ a sub-genre of vapor wave, and really narrowing down on the jazz selections of this sub genre. The music includes heavy sampling from lounge jazz / contemporary jazz, which only further influences the idea behind the name of the playlist. take a seat and enjoy.
