My set from the Merri Creek Day Gathering 2019. Starting off light and playful, moving through bouncy melodic house and into a deep groove, before driving it home with some serious chunk. I had a lot fun pulling this one together, and even more fun playing on the day... I hope you enjoy too.

Set on the beautiful banks of Merri Creek, the annual Day Gathering is a free-to-attend day of quality house and techno in celebration of Country, Aboriginal culture and community.

The day includes a Welcome to Country, storytelling from Uncle Larry, and a free BBQ showcasing Aboriginal inspired foods, including emu, kangaroo and crocodile.

Tongberang'i Ngarrga Inc acknowledges the Ancestors, Elders and families of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nations as the custodians of land on which this event is held. We also acknowledge that Merri Creek is the place of age-old ceremonies of celebration, initiation and renewal, and that the Kulin people’s living culture had, and has, a unique and important role in the life of this region.

Yumaanda (meaning 'to give' in Taungurung language) is Tongberang'i Ngarrga Inc's premiere family friendly multi-day outdoor dance gathering.

Watching a diverse set of people come together to form a community, embody the ethos of 'to give', and embrace the sharing of Aboriginal stories and culture, was an incredible experience.

It was a joy to perform this set on the Sunday afternoon and share in that basic human activity which we were born to do - dance.
