Reduced is a new series that strips sound back to its most transcendental, restorative and atmospheric textures to block out the noise and aid focus, attunement and relaxation. Each one will be paired with a mental health charity and be accompanied by an interview focussed on self-care. The combination of all three will create an evolving resource of knowledge and experience that provides solace, inspiration, reassurance and company in difficult times.

Charlie’s paired his mix with Black Minds Matter, a UK charity who provide free mental health services for the Black community, as well as working to break down the stigmas around mental health in those communities.

Jun Kamoda is a producer, DJ and MC from Tokyo. New to the label but a friend of the party, Jun came to Mister Sunday in NYC last year and ended up hanging around for a few days afterward, digging for records and sharing bowls of spaghetti with the boys.

When he returned to Japan, he got to working on the music we now present to you on The Clay EP. This is Jun blending loopy, psychedelic disco stylings with chugging drum work for three party-ready cuts. They've been chopping up our dance floors months; we're excited to hear them do the same to yours.

Quinn Lamont Luke is a California-born singer-songwriter, based in New York and Oaxaca. He has spent the better part of 30 years recording, touring, and releasing music on record labels such as Aficionado, Claremont 56, DFA, Lovemonk, Phantom Island, RAK Records, Rush! Production, Space Shower (Japan), Ubiquity, Tummy Touch, Uber, World Famous, and now his own imprint, El Triangulo. He has previously worked under the names Bing Ji Ling, the Phenomenal Handclap Band, and Incarnations.  

He is currently a member of Paqua, releasing music on Claremont 56. He has collaborated and worked with an extended network of DJs and musicians, that includes Shawn Lee, Groove Armada, Tommy Guerrero, Bryan Ferry, Marcos Valle, Phil “Cantoma” Mison, Paul “Mudd” Murphy, Psychemagik, Vetiver, Dianne Birch, No Doubt, and Alex From Tokyo. Luke’s output covers a broad, eclectic range of styles from folk to house. Luke’s various releases have been remixed by Idjut Boys, Ray Mang, Ron Basejam, Jose Manuel, Pete Herbert, Alexander Barck (Jazzanova), Lexx, Emperor Machine, Leo Mas, and many others.
