‘Pigeons’ is the first single release from Quivers, a guitar/gutter pop band from Hobart, Tasmania (now Melbourne). The song is a cracked, hung-over realisation: “all my best friends are a little broken, all the best people are”. 

Quivers are back with new song "You're Not Always On My Mind", their first release since debut LP "We'll Go Riding On The Hearses", and are soon heading over to showcase at SXSW.

"You're Not Always On My Mind" (out everywhere Feb 20th) is their most direct release yet - Quivers' signature jangly guitars and shouted choruses tightened up into their first real pop song. It was recorded in The Aviary Recording Studio by Matt Redlich. The result has a "Reckoning” era R.E.M. vibe - snaking and shimmering guitars, and driving drums.

It's a bit like 10cc's "I'm Not In Love" - a song to prove how much you're not thinking about someone...
