Eck Echo presents the first LP record entry in its catalogue with ROCAFUERTE by Ecuadorian producer QUIXOSIS.

Named after a street in the historic center of Quito, ROCAFUERTE paints an anachronic and anatopic picture of voyages between Latin America and Europe, set to a multitude of beats ranging from trip hop and reggaeton to juke and UK Garage, which the artist uncompromisingly blends with nostalgic samples of Italian chanson and Southamerican folk, warped through the magic of his trusted tape machine - a historical debt to the record collection of his great-grandfather.

Eck Echo presents RADIO AMAZONIA, a compilation curated by Peruvian artist QOQEQA.

All proceeds from this album will be destined to the education program "La Voz de La Selva" based in Iquitos, Peru (downloads via https://eckecho.bandcamp.com/album/radio-amazonia)

RADIO AMAZONIA- a remote education program based on AM radio airwaves for the families of the communities in Maynas and Loreto-Nauta in the Peruvian Amazon.

The project is led by the Vicariato Apostólico de Iquitos with the support of the Regional Directorate of Education in Loreto (DREL) and funding partners. With your donation we will be able to complete the production of 2.000 out of 7.000 planned eco-friendly radio-receivers for school students to attend the radio- educational programs "Al Son de Manguaré" and "La Voz de La Selva" and further donations will provide financing for the logistics and capacitation of teachers and families.

The illustrious Abu Ama lets loose on Accidental Meetings with a 9 track LP, manifesting his trademark distorted dubwise style, with traditional folk song throughout. 

Following wzrdyAV's sublime 'Midnight Visions' we're so, so excited to welcome Abu to the label for AM002. An unbelievable artist and person, we're honoured to have him on AM. 
Abu who lives in West Germany showcases his whole repertoire throughout the 9 tracks with a selection of new and old, past and present. 

His field recordings are scattered over the album and his rumbling bass is ever present, traditional folk songs dip in and out of the album all brought together in Abu's signature dub-wise style. 


The album flows from the noise and industrial-ness of Ghostograph and Nictistwieesscheint to the softer pads of Red Rose and Gods Will. Abu's trademark distorted style and rumbling bass comes in to the fray on Yogi Yard with the addition of hard hand drums in Karochi. Leading him to venture into more of his traditional dub on Kleopatra arabxo, where his distant field recordings really come into play. The traditional folk song is present throughout however it really shines Peach Garden & Plastic Cobra, where he really gets his groove on.

'Rocafuerte' is the upcoming album by notable Ecuadorian producer Quixosis, to be released in January 2021 via Berlin-based platform Eck Echo. It is a great pleasure to be able to premiere the second single off this LP - a wonderful track called 'Las Nalgas de Venus' which features ULTRA K whose voice has been vocoded into the hypnotizing and dreamy dembow beats creating an outstanding piece of Latin America-inspired electronic music.

Luego de sepultar a su banda de cumbia gótica La MiniTK del Miedo hace 4 años y de caer en una profunda crisis personal y creativa, el colombiano Nicolás Vallejo se dedicó a buscar visiones para salir del silencio. Poco a poco, en medio de largas noches de experimentación con máquinas y efectos empezaron a revelarse los fantasmas del sonido que darían forma a Ezmeralda​, su nuevo proyecto.

Producido entre Bogotá y los farallones de Sutatausa, en un estudio improvisado en una pequeña cabaña en medio del aislamiento, su disco debut es una selección de ensoñaciones: imágenes que, de la nada (y hacia la nada, también), se nacen y disuelven en la mente.
  
Peregrinaciones al sol, marchas oscuras de espíritus cumbieros, estados de éxtasis místico alcanzados a través de meditaciones de YouTube, ascensos al cielo de leyendas vallenatas, arcoiris coronando cascadas infinitas en el medio de la selva, noches de tormenta en la Bogotá más melancólica, pueblos tropicales tragados por el tiempo... el álbum es una secuencia de imaginaciones rebajadas una y otra vez, coloreadas por sintetizadores y reverberaciones y ​delays​, y luego pasadas por las máquinas de cinta de su buen amigo Daniel Lofredo Rota –aka ​Quixosis​–, quien les dio un acabado espectral y en estéreo, apenas para escuchar entre dormidos y despiertos.
