One of the projects of the Mexican producer Luis Fernando Hernández, head of the Bonkers label, entitled LFB, comes to an end. From the distant EP "Elements" on Borderless Project three years ago, to Illegal Alien's Myths and Legends and multiple original mixes and remixes on Bonkers, LFB is ready to lower the curtain. And as each cycle has its closure, which brings new possibilities, the end of LFB comes with a celebration: one of its most representative tracks, Synesthesia, is wrapped in a beautiful Remix Package in which Mexican talents are in charge of interpreting the  original track "Synesthesia".

" I don't think that I have to state the fact that the foundation of the song is a guitar. The most commonly used instrument in the music industry. And by far it doesn't feel overused at all. The melody of the main riff and the supporting sounds quickly reminded me of a certain artists and musicians.
This is going to sound crazy for some of you, but these are the ones that came to my mind after listening to this track:
Phil Collins, Foster the People, the Killers, Lady Gaga, and surprise surprise - Selena Gomez. I know, I'm insane!!!
Jumping straight to the themes, I can say with full confidence, it is no doubt filled with mystery, sci-fi, and a bit of an old-school detective aura.
Delighted by the Native American elements in this remix (as modest as they are), the others are expected, but the way they are scattered across the song, you can definitely classify it as a progressive tune, don't get me wrong it doesn't reach it's climax as you would expect, at the end, it goes back to where it started. 
But it doesn't necessarily mean that it's a bad thing. We're talking about dark disco. The style that has to have some emptiness at some points in the song. This is essential, especially for the endings. 
Overall, the song tends to change it's emotions, for some it can be off-putting, however, in my opinion - it is part of a charm." - Quixotical Music psychoanalyst Vidas Stanynas.


Undoubtedly one of the greatest releases of the year at Logia Records is “Body Rocks”, the EP with which BTCOP lands on the growing label based in Argentina and Mexico. "It begins with a promise of suspense and mystery. Dark and groovy bass does the thing. After a strong introduction track jumps to some weird and unusual sound design that gives some vitamin D for your muscles to have more energy on the dance floor. Can't hold a theme throughout the track which forces you to think and wait for what's coming up next. It's like a mash up of a few different ideas that merge into one complete masterpiece. I personally prefer a darker motives, that this track indeed does offer. But...is it fully dark from it's core or is it just simply 50 shades of dark? That's is a question which you must answer by yourself while listening to this track.

This track is played in m key, what I mean by that is minimalism. One small sound is replaced by another, then comes back a little bit later
in a different form as if it has a life of its own. It's not over squeezed or infused with unnecessary intensity. If I had to put a label on it, there's only one word for what I've heard - mind trance. Reminds me of MIB or Ghostbusters animated series soundtracks from 2000's.

"Mostly it's fun and engaging, but don't take my first impressions for granted just yet. "Feeling" by Cali Burton sets a tone from the very beginning, but manages to swipe it here and there, especially with singing parts and some transitions that occur only a few times.
It would be no surprise if this song was strongly influenced by worldwide known artists such as Foster The People, The Killers, or Blur. But maybe it has nothing to do with any of them. Although you cannot deny the analogy, the resemblance is there.
Once in a while artists unintentionally make something sound so familiar that instantly forces us to look around and search for the answers. When mostly the main focus should be the song at hand. There's nothing wrong with the reminders, sometimes they just make us fall in love with a track.
Every piece should strike a chord inside each and every one of us, that's how it works, feeling it, is the most important thing.
While listening to the combination of sounds that Burton presented to us, without any hesitation I made some connections to certain memories, ideas, and subjects. Saying that makes it sound sad, but here we go again, don't take this the wrong way. It's more uplifting rather than gloom, the thing is - it has its own strange "mechanism of balance". It's a bliss to listen to. Cheerful and charming, but at the same time - controlling. It doesn't try to make you grumpy in any way, but it pushes these small fragments of mystery haze and obscurity, not much, but just enough to suggest, that nothing is entirely as colourful or as bright as it may seem. "Delicately laid introduction, smooth fade-in, and amazingly executed swishes and swooshes, not only in the beginning but throughout the whole song, sets a strong foundation and holds up till the very end. Not to mention the clever use of synths and other gloomy electronic elements that not only casts a bright light to hint at a genre but also to set a certain mood. Despite being a new incarnation of disco, it has a distinct house flavor. As pretty much every dance song in the industry, it has this engaging and also charming synth-bass sequence, for some it might seem overused and can get annoying over time, but I always say this - "if it fits, it sits". Just as I am a fan of this particular bass practice in the songs, I am also a fan of sonar sounds and especially the combination of both - bass and sonar, if done right and this track delivers without any doubt, I'm sold. However, this isn't quite the selling point of this wonderful track. What got me hooked, was something else. I would say it was a blend of pretty much everything Tantra had to offer in this anthem of sorts, although a few elements stood out above the rest. The sophisticated use of wind instruments with the addition of vocal inclusion was spot on, the mix of these two just added a life-like experience, cultural mirroring phenomenon was so present, it made me so involved, I completely lost a track of time. Speaking about time, I usually avoid songs that are longer than 7 minutes or so, and when I saw the duration of this song, I was like - "Oh man, this is gonna be a drag". 
But fortunately, this James Rod edit surprised me in more ways than I can imagine. I strongly recommend this beautiful and so down-to-earth masterpiece, that not only provides a solid listening experience but is also technically dense and arranged in the most explicit way possible." - Quixotical Music psychoanalyst Vidas Stanynas.

The detective comes to the crime scene, his every step resonates, he sees the girl's body, nauseating doubt, and bittersweet tension overwhelm him. There are swarms of thoughts running through his head, he cannot concentrate on the prevailing chaos caused by the killer.

Here is the first Quixotical "Tapes To Go" track, prepared by Admiral of Quixotical Records - Poulper and Logia Records members - Renuna and Cu da Curuxa.
"Discusión" is a groovy, full of cosmic synth vibes track, colored with straight and dehumanized voices. Simple but infused bass part plays perfectly with the rhythm section and starts the urge to move and conquer the dance floor.

Poulper - Founder of Quixotical Records, DJ, Producer & Event Planner from Buenos Aires, being part of Playground Records since the beginning. He is producing & releasing cycles such as Métrica, Estambul, and concepts such as Syntoma and RARO.
 Moving in the local scene and different cities of the country.
Currently recordings sessions and producing a lot of music about to be released soon.

Renuna is an electronic music duo formed in Buenos Aires, Argentina, by Cali Burton and Tots. 
It started as music lessons on 2018, while they found unique chemistry which led to conform to this duo, 
where Cali Burton is the technical and musical side and Tots adds the dancefloor sounds.
Focused mostly on production, but also playing on underground parties, they decided to create their own label LOGIA Records in 2019. 
Cali Burton had already managed to release his own tracks on Emerald & Doreen and Veneno MX.

Manuel Petrarca aka. Cu da Curuxa - Dj and rising Producer, Member of Logia Records. The project Cu da Curuxa was started in 2019 in Buenos Aires, in the heart of the deep underground scene. Manuel is always looking for groovy basses and dark spaces. And there is no doubt he is going to surprise us and the whole dance music scene with his production in the near future!

@warnesmusic is an electronic duo from Buenos Aires formed by @lucareofficial and @caliburton who express their art through live sets. Their sound search turns to indie-electronics and performance in a band format for the dance floor.
So far in their career, they've released their first album through the German label @emerald-and-doreen-rec.

3rd track "EMERSON 116" for "Tapes to Go" series is coming from two amigos of Maleante Records - Globemaster and Corresponsal. "EMERSON 116" is a penthouse in Mexico City where these guys spend a few days while playing gigs all around the city and having moments with their old friends. Flashbacks of a great time inspired Globemaster and Corresponsal to recreate amazing memories into musical form. 

The beginning of the track is taut but secured. Rising slowly with a straight beat part, heart-type pumping bass, and main synth theme colored with subtle and intangible fxs. Latin dance percussions come at the peak and continue till the end impacting the vibe in a very positive way. The whole groove and emotion of the track definitely will transfer you to "EMERSON 116" penthouse to feel the moment that lasts till now.

Globemaster is a Mexican sound engineer and producer born in Torreón, co-founder of Próximo, and part of teamwork of Maleante Records.
His influences are rock, some post-punk, and rave music, which leads him up to techno, psychedelic, and indie dance mixed sounds.

Corresponsal is DJ and producer from Torreón North Mexico, co-founder of Maleante Records, and part of the Próximo team.
