What would a world be like without cheese, one of the most used ingredients in the world? Pizza would be a circle of heated dough, cheeseburgers would just be beef sandwiches and cheese toasties would literally just be toast. BORING.

If there’s one country that does cheese right it’s Italy, but that’s not the only thing that lands Italy on the world map – we’re talking about one young fellow named GIANT! He may not smell like a block of Gorgonzola, but he's just as potent.

At the top of his Louder Scream EP we have MSTRKRAFT. With a slice of bass too thick for bread, the record has an increasingly haunting synth that gets you feeling all kinds of sweaty. The flip has 2 cuts, AH OH DE and Wrong Call featuring Contribe. Both bangers in their own right, they perfectly bring GIANTs creativity and uniqueness to the forefront and exhibit his ability to write clubby Camembert for everyone.

We do thank GIANT for bringing some light to this dreary cheese-less world, but tend to think a world with both would be even better! In the wise words of Old El Paso says "Why can't we have both?"

1. When did you start making music?
Funny connections here. I started playing music at 8 years old. I got into DJing around 12 and so I started tinkering on FL Studio at 13. Didn’t start taking it seriously until about 19 and things didn’t really click for me until about 22. I’m almost 25 now, guess time takes it’s course.

2. What makes YOU qwerky?
Probably my music taste first and foremost. I really don’t listen to dance music despite when I make it! I’m a huge jazz kinda guy, really into J-pop (Taeko Onuki, Haruomi Hosono), leftfield singer-songwriter kinda stuff (Daniel Johnston, Laurie Anderson, Brian Wilson), strangely obsessed with The Wiggles, if I kept on writing this I wouldn’t stop. Also I’m diagnosed with Asperger’s so that helps things.

3. If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?
Daffy Duck.

4. What’s your favorite sound?
Aweminus snare, ocean, my cat meowing because I don’t think he learned how to meow as a kitten and he makes crazy noises now.

5. You’re making dinner at your house… what’s on the menu?
Unfortunately at this point, Kraft mac and cheese hahahaha. Or we’re going to chipotle, some days are easier than others.

6. Who are 3 people you’d invite? (from any time period)
Curly, Larry, and Moe.

Burgeoning house talent Secondcity returns to Saved with the highly impressive Feel It EP. The Chicago born producer delivers a wide-ranging EP that flows between deep house, heady, relentless techno and more laidback house struts across its four tracks. Displaying both his innate connection to the dancefloor and a versatile dexterity, Secondcity offers another reminder of why he is such an in-demand producer.

The EP sets off in full flight with the powerful, dubby “Feel It.” A fully loaded bottom end pulsates and drives with real purpose as a subtle but addictive groove provides the backbone. Resisting the temptation to explode into wild frenzy, the track chuggs away with a controlled but bristling energy. “Terrace Tech” is more intense, locking into a heady, druggy, heads-down groove that remains unflinching till the last. It has a raw and organic feel but manages to include a sense of funk into its highly hypnotic personality.

“The Lines” brings the pace down somewhat, settling into an offbeat but funky house strut. It’s rolling bassline and inventive hook give the track its distinctive flavor, just as the punchy beats and FX inject the momentum. On “Avec” the collaboration between Secondcity and Kydus, the pair combine a succinct groove with a real sense of swing. The bassline sways beneath some funkified percussion that gives the track an almost laidback but party-centred attitude.
