'F For You' (Eats Everything Remix)

Disclosure’s ‘F For You’ ft Mary J Blige is set to get an Eats Everything make-over with a remix dropping on PMR this month. The record, belonging to Disclosure's Grammy nominated album ‘Settle’, has dominated the dance charts of late and Eats serves it a slice of added groove, making for a typically inviting dance floor track. 

Both acts have recently supported one another on recent dates, with Disclosure joining Eats Everything as a special guest at his XOYO residency and in return, Eats made a special appearance at Disclosure’s Alexandra Palace gig last weekend. Having a clear fondness for each other’s work, it was only a matter of time before a remix came to fruition.  Stripped back and built around his trademark punchy house template, Eats gives the original an altogether new dimension that is sure to make waves on both the radio and in the clubs.

Eats Everything kicked off 2014 with a brand new residency series at XOYO, London, with each date comfortably selling out. Alongside pioneering the resurgence of the residency to London’s nightlife, he’s been working his way around Europe too, touring some of the very best venues on the European club circuit.

The Disclosure remix is only the tip of the iceberg when when it comes to what Eats has lined up for the rest of the year. Rounding up the last few weeks of his XOYO residency, Eats will be releasing the ‘Hello Mr. Jello' EP alongside Justin Martin on Dirtybird Records and has a Hot Natured remix forecast, as well as a very exciting mix compilation in the pipeline.

Keepsakes - Galso In Camo

By now Dutch label Shipwrec has well and truly established itself as a go-to outlet for excellent modern electro. As such, it makes perfect sense that their next release – a special one-sided pressing - is from revered electro specialist Anthony Rother. It sees the man offer up some pure dancefloor fire that is part techno, part electro, but wholly awesome. What’s more, the blank b-side of this extra boutique 180g vinyl will be silkscreen printed and will come in a special sleeve. It will be a limited run, with no represses, and is the start of a new series of such releases from Shipwrec. 
The track, entitled 'Balkonien', is a broody affair from the off, with a supple, rubbery bed of kicks down low and a molten synth line up top. As things unfold, a nebulous network of celestial pads spiral about, the drums bounce more and lots of sinewy machine lines dance about and have you doing the same. It’s an instant modern classic full of electronic soul, frankly!

Kiev's Yan Cook here steps up from sister label Ann Aimee to big daddy Delsin, as the two imprints have been fused into one going forward. Earlier in the year, the techno man released Morse with the Dutch outfit, and has also impressed on labels like On Records, Planet Rhythm and Dynamic Reflection with his ravey, heavily textured sounds.

Mørbeck makes mighty meaty material. That much is clear, but what's also pretty cool is that he chooses to do it on his own terms. Beyond a loosie here and there, like the M_REC 12" from this year, he opts to release on own-brand labels, Code Is Law included.

The hourlong double EP T.R.I.P.S. is Mørbeck's most comprehensive statement to date – and, for our money, the best yet. "Virgin Suicide" is uncommonly brash, winching its way towards a killer bait 'n switch in the final third, but still retaining enough of the robust techno to mark it as definably his.

Codeislaw008 drops Sept 10th. You'd do wisely to bag on sight.

Throughout its nearly 20-year heroic label’s journey, Turbo Recordings has fulfilled its pledge to “keep on lookin’ for the music” no matter where it takes them, working with artists from cultures as diverse as Sweden, Finland, England, Spain, Scotland, Mexico, Australia, France, Argentina, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Italy, the United States, Israel, Denmark and Toronto. All of which brings us to our newest core artist, Russia’s Dimitri Veimar. We’d like to tell you we discovered him when he and his friends shot down our Eurasian Outreach Ableton Tutorial Helicopter for being “too condescending,” but the truth is actually much simpler. Veimar is merely fluent in the universal language of floor-filling, one that transcends borders and skin-crawling descriptions alike. It is a primal tongue describing a future where all communication is elevated to an endless loop of sweat-drenched club-goers pressed tightly against the front of the stage, smiling at everything you do.
