This is a new demo by Translunar and is inspired by the new technological discovery of our age, which could be brilliant for the human race or could destroy us. Whatever, this gives me an opportunity to create new melodies and that is what I want to do.

I created this track using the following instruments in the Translunar Studio:

Artificial Intelligence - New Demo - Free Download

This orchestral piece begins with a late spring morning and the theme of the Bybrook (a river that runs through the village of Box in Wiltshire), that then gives way to more wildlife activity, especially the Kingfisher who darts around hunting for food - the Kingfisher, although native to UK originated in Indonesia 27 million years ago so a cheeky reference to an slight Asian theme.  The piece resolves back to the Bybrook theme for a beautiful sunny spring afternoon.

This is my first serious attempt at creating an orchestral piece.  The time is spent in articulating each instrument adding expression to make the whole piece sound and feel as real as possible.

Many thanks to Marcus Dellicompagni at Poundsound for the Cubase template (saves hours of time) and some technical advice.

Composed, arranged, recorded, mixed and mastered by me - a learning process!

Bybrook 1 - Byrook and the Kingfisher

This was a mixing and EQ nightmare but got something reasonable in the end.  I took each individual track from MIDI and created it's own audio track instead of just recording the mix from the synths into stereo.

The music (Orchestral/Electronic/Dub) represents 3 people and the relationships between them.  Sometimes there is harmony and sometime dis-harmony, especially when the three collide.

Hi, I am Mike and welcome to my SoundCloud page.  I am using this site as an outlet for my musical projects both present and past.

I write in a number of genres and styles and play different instruments depending on the project but mainly bass (both fretted and fretless), acoustic guitar and keyboards/synths including the usual programming.

Hopefully something for everybody on here and expanding all the time.

The Old songs set will contain songs that I have written and produced in previous bands so on here for prosperity and so they don’t just gather dust electronically ;-)
