Vali's mix is overflowing with that new, new, dubs, and more dubs!! Amen smashers, some scratching from Vali in the mix, and that old school feel with a new school touch, he showcases the tunes perfectly in this mix, beautifully crafted!! SERIOUS VIBES on this one!! Vali destroys it!!

1. Tell us about what you have coming up on Parallax Recordings.

There’s a lot in the pipelines. This year we had Justice & Necrotype´s debut EP ‚Natural Spirit’ already and Ron Wells aka Jack Smooth aka Electronic Experienced with the 2 tracker ‚The Born Villain/ The Breaks’ is available to pre-order just now, still due is PARA 015 by Dug, 4 tracks of Darkcore. Matt Bass (PARA017) is due soon too. Then we have the Sync Dynamix EP then, the ‚Overhead‘ EP by Radicall. Well, it technically is an album with 10 tracks on digital and 8 tracks on the double vinyl, the first 12“ will feature 4 dark cuts and the second features the hands in the air piano style that Radicall does so well. The bonus cuts are another darker version of an included tune and a digital exclusive track. After that there´s the 'Portamental' EP by Worldwide Epidemic coming and probably the biggest news: The sequel to the Parazone album which this time will not come out as a box set, but rather as a series of 12“s. There's lots more coming but nothing I can speak about yet.

 

2. Tell us about Peoples Station.

Simple Story: DJ Chromz moved to Berlin and I invited him down to a small Parallax do in an illegal basement and we straight hit it off. Chromz is about 10 years younger than me, so naturally he has a whole different energy. He got in touch with several stations and jungletrain took us on and even gave us a Saturday. So now we are on bi-weekly between 06:30-08:30 (UCT +1). I was toying around with the name ‚Peoples Station‘ for years, although 'The Parazone‘ nearly made it, but the name Peoples Station rang better with the style Chromz is doing too. It is a reference to that Macka Brown tune (https://youtu.be/bWPRFfKXyYk)I  liked the message in there. We try to feed the listeners a lot of exclusives and forthcoming stuff to make the show worthwhile to listen to, it’s literally the only chance to hear what’s forthcoming on the label. Chromz often plays WIP´s and tunes he finished in the last two weeks, some might never come out even. And then we sometimes have guest mixes or oldskool specials. Of course we always try to include other labels and artists, but since we only started at the beginning of this year, there aren’t many yet that sent us stuff.  Here's the call, if you'd like us to play your tune, send it over and if we like it, it’s in. We are all inclusive, and remember folks, you can book the People Station to bring the vibe to your club ;)
