This is an original tune that is a bit of a ghost story. I was raised near a river named the Battenkill, which runs from Vermont into upstate New York. Along it's way it passes the ruins of an old mill in Rexleigh, and under a beautiful covered bridge. I often wondered about the early settlers in that area. This song grew out of that.

This is a live track of a swing band I used to front....great players...Spanky Lee, Jon Potrykus, Jefferson Vorhees and George Dunlop....hope you like it. It was a recording from a video recorder, but was not in sync with the music. I found it pretty annoying to watch, so I prefer just the recording. Hope you like it.
